We have been advised by the owners that this location is no longer a touring site, and offers caravan storage only.

Very disappointed, site had lovely potential, trees, rabbits, squirrels but was let down by very poor facilities. Only 1 wc and shower open for ladies, not very clean, basins had green 'gunge' around taps, and floor was only swiped occasionally with wet mop, corners never touched in week we were there. No mop to dry shower floor.
No recycling facilities, no dog poo bins. Owner, Julie was pleasant but site needed lots of work.
Fresh water hose was stored in waste outlet of very old & rather dirty china sink outside wash-up.
Know area well so Asda store 5 mins away was handy, local pubs not used. Such a conveniently placed site should be great for access to M2, M20 etc.
Site mostly given over to storage, Security at front gate great but let down by broken fences elsewhere.

We found this delightful site when visiting Rochester whilst on a Tonbridge one, we decided to bring the tourer to this site as it was nearer to our relatives.
Nicely situated just off the main M20 spur yet hardly any motorway noise.
Lots of wildlife and the facilities were spotless, staff very helpful and not in your face.
Although we stayed for only 2 nights we will be back as the location gave us easy access to Rochester and we were also able to visit Maidstone, Tenderton and other places
One very interesting visit was to a beautiful tea rooms in Wateringbury. One must go over the bridge, t/light controlled and park in the Lees just a few ayrds down on the right. One walks over a weir into the gardens and in front is a very large (8 meters high) teapot, the tea shop is called the Tea Shop Gardens and inside is an array overy conceivable teapot made. 6,360 at the last count.
There are many other places to visit from this site and we WILL be back

This was a good location for visiting Rochester and the various festivals. Facilities are old but clean and the owner was friendly - rates were very reasonable. Tree screened pitches - lots of bushes and wild flowers. Sadly, not a quiet site being surrounded by the motorway on one side, high speed rail link and a small air field with repair facility on other side. Does make for an interesting location however, Cheap storage for caravans and motor homes is also available.

Great campsite to stay at not too posh ! Lovely country area of Kent within stones throw of Maidstone and all major road links. Good facilitys for campers and caravaners. Showers and toilets and plenty of water/bin points. As they accept dogs it would have been good to have a dog walk nearby or on site. Owners really friendly and helpful. Security good with big automatic gate. There is a lot of caravans in storage so when you arrive dont think the place is heaving.

June 2004 What an oasis this place is, lovely trees all around and clean and tidy everywhere. Access is good and although quite near the motorway it really is a nice quiet site and the owners are helpful in every way. Loo's were good and the showers ok aswell. Light aircraft and microlights flew by on occasions which was nice to see. We had a very nice and cheap meal in Wetherspoons in Rochester which is about 10 mins drive from Woolmans Wood.
