Part of a former hotel complex about 1 km from the centre of Augustow town. The site is on the edge of the lake, the hotel and log cabins are on one side and the newer campsite on the other side of the site.
Pitches are large, on sand and all with ehu. There is a water fill / empty and a motorhome service point. Plenty of shade on most pitches as the site is set amongst very tall and old trees. Showers / loos are very new, all very clean but push buttons on the showers which lasted for seconds.
The hotel has a restaurant which we didn't use but it was continually busy. Pedalos are for hire at the gate and there is a marina within a couple of yards of the gate too.
The town is a holiday destination, lots of bars and restaurants. The river and canal but through the middle of town and there are plenty of boat trips available.
The lakes are well marked for walkers and we found many miles of newly developed cycle-paths both along the canal and around the main lakes.
The staff on reception spoke some English (much more than our Polish!) we found them friendly and helpful. It cost us £12 per night for 2 adults including ehu, we stayed for 3 days and found there was plenty to do in the area.
