We stayed here on adjacent pitches, me with my wife, and my daughter and her family on the other. Big pitches booked through the caravan club (special) is what they were termed as. Water and drainage on the pitches. A good family site, english spoken by staff. Pool was very good and safe for children, there was a lifeguard on duty. Bar and restaurant was very good. Bread and pastries made on site and could be ordered. Short walk into La Romieu, which has a small shop and two bar/restaurants. Access to site from autoroute is straight forward along reasonable roads. All in all a really good holiday. I would recommend this site no problem.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our 7 week tour of France in our Motorhome and found this a very nice site run by very hospitable people.
We totally agree with the review below by Chinster1957 which is very accurate and to which we cannot add much other than from a Motorhome perspective.
There are quite a few hardstanding pitches around the site mainly aimed at motorhome owners if the weather is wet. Most of these pitches have good views. However because it was 30+ Centigrade we opted for one of the larger grass pitches at the bottom of the site. We used our ACSI Card and only had to pay an extra 2 euros per night on top of the standard ACSI price. We thought this a bargain for the size of the pitch.
The restaurant was one of the best we have eaten in on a campsite. We would definitely visit this site again.

Le Camp de Florence is a 4-star Castels site situated in the Gers region of France just outside the small village of La Romieu. Most of the amenities are in one building at the front of the site. These include the reception, a large bar, the restaurant and the take-away service. Reception staff speak English. Out of season the campsite accepts the ACSI discount card. Access to the site is through a barrier which is controlled by your car number plate. There is no shop on site but La Romieu is only a short walk away and has a grocer and a baker. The closest supermarket is about a 15 minute drive away just before the town of Condom.
Out of season you are allowed to choose your own pitch. The site has around 200 pitches, most are for touring units. All are a good size and reasonably level. Some pitches are double size and these are huge. All pitches have electricity. Some pitches have water and waste water facilities. Some pitches have hard standings. The campsite has some units for hire. There are no tour operators on site. WIFI is available throughout the campsite.
There are three toilet blocks and these should be sufficient in high season. All toilets have seats and paper provided. All facilities are cleaned regularly.
The campsite has many facilities that you would expect of a 4 star site. There is a good outdoor swimming pool area close to the reception which includes a small slide for children. There is also a small farm area, a play area, table tennis tables, a football pitch and a tennis court. All the facilities seem to be of good quality. The restaurant is excellent and is also used by the locals.
This area of France is quiet with few attractions. There are plenty of picturesque villages to visit. The closest and probably one of the best is La Romieu. Here you can visit the Collegiate church and just outside the town the Gardens of Coursiana. You can buy a combined ticket and save a few euros.
Further afield you can visit the town of Condom, the abbey at Flaran and many other villages including Fources (which is totally round), Larresingle (surrounded by ramparts) and many more. If you fancy somewhere with a few more shops then Agen (45 minutes north) or Auch (60 minutes south) are both well worth a visit. Auch is particularly picturesque.
If you like walking, then the campsite has a book of walks in English which start at the campsite. They allow you to borrow the information sheets for a 2 euro deposit.
If you like a quieter type of holiday then Le Camp de Florence is certainly worth trying. If you have a teenage family then maybe it’s not for you. We stayed for 17 days and had a thoroughly good time. It is a well run campsite in a very nice and unspoilt area of France.
