This is a fabulous city centre campsite. Its just 10 minutes walk over the river into the heart of Riga old town. The site is behind a large exhibition centre with the river running to one side.

Pitches are not pre-set but there is loads of room, and plenty of ehu. For caravans / motorhomes its parking in rows and there is a separate tent area.

There is a water fill and chem disposal. Water waste in on road grates. Wifi is available across the site - charged €3 per 24 hours - strong signal across the site.

Toilets showers are in converted containers, checked throughout the day and kept very clean. Showers were piping hot and have been recently refurbished.

The site is brilliantly placed for visiting Riga, you can catch a bus or tram from the end of the road or as before its an easy flat walk into the city. There is a shopping centre a couple of minutes up the road with a few smaller outlets and a large supermarket plus a food-hall.

When we stayed the site had just opened for the season and was already quite busy. An expedition of German and Dutch vehicles was heading off for China via Russia. The warden spoke excellent English and was very helpful.

For a city stopover cannot recommend this site enough, its brilliant, we stayed 3 days and could easily have stayed longer as plenty to see in Riga.
