Pleased I looked in here, really want to keep this site to myself but that would be wrong.
Peaceful site, is currently being screened by beech hedging to all pitches.
Toilet and shower facilities in a porta cabin. Wash up area. Lovely hosts. Nothing was too much trouble.
Looking forward to next year.
Thank you

I booked to stay at this site because we were in the area to visit Guy Martin's pub in Kirmington - and I am so glad that I did.
This is a C&CC members only site.
It is an absolute gem of a site, a beautifully kept level grass field with EHU points and fresh water taps on all 4 sides.
There are recycling bins and chemical toilet dump point under cover; as well as a supply of dog poo bags and a small shovel (what a good idea).
There are no toilets or showers, but that does not distract from the appeal of this site.
We were only booked to stay for 2 nights, but will definitely be returning as we had such a relaxing chilled out visit.

A new Camping and Caravanning Club certificated site for 2015. It is for members only but you can join on site. Received a lovely welcome from the owners Sue and Richard. Sue has provided lots of information leaflets in her conservatory and Richard told us of some great cycling routes in the area. Although there are no showers or toilets, the facilities provided are well thought out. EHU points on all 4 boundaries of the level well maintained field. There are plenty of drinking water points around the field and a motorhome service point near the gate. Also by the gate is an outdoor wifi doodah. The signal from this was excellent if you like to keep up with what's going on via the internet. A brand new purpose built chemical disposal point is under cover along with recycling bins. It is an open site so all day sunshine can be enjoyed, although trees have been planted to give some shelter from the wind. There are chickens on site, I forget their individual names, but there are 2 A's, 2 B's and 2 S's. I don't know which of these provided my breakfast on both mornings, but these eggs were delicious and freshly laid.
There is plenty to see in the area. A short walk along a public footpath at the side of the railway takes you to Thornton Abbey, a British Heritage propery, well worth a visit. The railway station here is on the Barton-upon-Humber to Cleethorpes line, either of which provide a nice day out. There are pubs, takeaways and a shop in the village of Ulceby, close enough for a walk or bike ride, but far enough away for some peace and quiet on site. Birdwatchers and other wildlife fans will love it here. Lots of other places for days out are listed on the provided information sheet. Will definitely visit again, had a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend.
