 Campsite road signage not good, keep your eyes peeled. Track from main road to the site very rutted and uneven could be a problem in rain. Flat Grass Pitches are of a good size with trees giving shade. Showers charged separately at €0. 5 per shower, water temp not that hot, no hot water at hand basins so cold wet shaves endured, dish washing sinks did have hot water. Triangular shaped pool ok for playing but not for proper swimming. Wifi free but only available in bar area. Local adjacent pig farm can result in a very strong smell and fly issue if muck spreading is ongoing (three days for us)! Blue euro plugs used for electricity hook up. Café and bar open, nearest supermarket in Banyoles 15-20 minute drive.

Loved this site and would have no hesitation in returning. It is owned/managed by Anglo/French couple, Sally and Marc, so we had no problem making ourselves understood given our very limited Spanish, though they would staunchly tell you that they speak Catalan! It is informally laid out with trees for shade and shrubs roughly marking the pitch boundary, with access to an individual fresh water tap. We had ample space for our 7. 3m caravan, awning and car. Toilets/showers are very clean, unisex, with loo seats and paper provided. With a total of 50 pitches these facilities might be stretched at times but fine for the time of our 10-day stay. There are a number of permanently sited caravans and owners were very friendly. Besalu is nearby and a charming small town of medieval origin. Also visited the Dali Theatre Museum in Figueres, about 30 minutes away. Wifi is free (router located in the bar-cum-reception) and whilst there were a few problems during the early days of our stay, they recalled the computer guy to fix and we could even get a weak signal at our pitch. Sally's skills in the kitchen are well-rated but the restaurant operates in peak season only so we cannot comment ourselves, otherwise they can recommend and book you a table at local eateries.
