 Part of the marina complex, the camper pitches are in two areas; one set on grass next to the restaurant which has 5 pitches, the rest are on the marina hard-standing.
All pitches have ehu, wifi is free, there is a motorhome service point and also chem disp and several water taps on the marina. The cafe is open at weekends, it is licensed and serves good reasonably price food. The showers are 50 cents, clean and good hot water.
The marina is opposite the harbour from where ferries depart for Schiermonnikoog island. The harbour is very lively with a large fishing fleet, several good fish restaurants and some shops.
The main attraction of the area for us was the cycle paths, mile after mile both along the coast and around the lake. Plenty of cafes and bars around the lake together with tourist gift shops.
We paid €16. 30 per night incl ehu - its well placed for the lake and harbour and is also a very secure site that is barrier controlled by the harbour master.
