 Motorhome parking in front of Camping Am Baddering, the pitches for the campsite are grass on gravel, we used the motorhome park which was more of a large car-park.
Less than 2 minutes walk onto the promenade, which is 12 km long and hosts numerous cafes, shops, hotels and private beach areas plus a walking path and a separate cycle track. Just outside the campsite there are two small restaurants and the main street for shops and cafes is less than 5 minutes walk.
The site is expensive for what you get €2. 80 per person tourist tax, €10 for a pitch, €2 electric, €1 shower and even 50 cents for the loo. The whole process for lengthy and long winded, book in for the tourist tax, we queued for 30 mins then it took over 15 mmins to fill out the details (reception hut only open for an hour twice a day). You pay the €10 fee in a machine on exit. The electric is paid to a guy who disconnects you – only between 9am and 10am – you just have to wait until he appears.
For us a slightly over-priced stay and we left after 1 night, much better and cheaper places to stay in the area. For many it would be a good site due to proximaty to Cuxhaven beach and promenade which is well worth a visit.
