It has a footpath running past the other side of the fence where people walk their dogs in the long grass and don't pickup.
The field we were in also had longer grass than most so was quite wet with dew each morning. We love its proximity to the town centre and there's 2 ways to walk there one flat one hilly.
There's a lidl that's walkable and the other shops are handy too. Some of the pubs are excellent and there's a public park with great views and river access just next door.
The work on the club itself was still ongoing so we had portacabins for loos and showers. No complaints there.
Its become one of our favourites and we plan to pop in often
We stayed for 1 night as we were travelling south, when we found the site we wondered if we were going the correct way as it was leading into a countrypark area.
There is a little bridge leading to the camping field, so check the width before booking. WC were open but the showers were closed (portacabin), as work was being done on the club itself.
We didn't see anybody from the club so we wondered if any checks were carried out.
There is a notice on the site" if its wet Motorhomes may get stuck" as its grass. The gate was open all night as the camp site was busy with campers who were using their canoes.
We thought the price was a little high for what you got, but then again it is central to town.
