 This appears to be a seasonal site open for the summer months and run in conjunction with the wind-surf club.
Open to caravans, motorhomes and tents were also welcome. The pitches front onto the lake which is very busy with wind-surfers – across the road is the dyke and the North Sea, used by the kite surfers.
The warden was very friendly and spoke good English. We paid €6 per night which included the loos and water. Ehu was an extra €3 per night. The site does not have nay showers. There is a chem disp point. A voucher for free coffee from the on site café was given to us on arrival, café open during the daytime serving a selection of meals and snacks.
Town of Meldorf was approx. 3 miles away, plenty of shops etc. From the site the cycle paths ran in both directions along the coast, shielded from the worst of the North Sea winds by the dykes.
A lovely stopping off point on the coast, would use again.
