The site is just under 1km from the centre of town. Set around a fishing lake the pitches are not marked but they ask you keep to the 3 metre between vans Danish rule.
The pitches had ehu and wifi was across the site. Loos / showers were fairly new buildings and very clean with piping hot water. There is a motorhome empty and fill plus chem disp. There is a washing up area but no laundry facilities.
The fishing lakes are very scenic, there are three different lakes on the site as well as a café and shop. Day fishing was popular with campers and visitors alike.
The town of Ribe is the oldest town in Denmark with cobbled streets, a cathedral, a quayside with restaurants and a really good shopping area. Loads of shops and although we expected it to be very expensive we were surprised that prices were not that different to those at home.
There is plenty to do in the area including a Viking Museum and the coast is just a few minutes drive where its possible to drive on the causeways to some of the islands.
The site owners were friendly and spoke perfect English, very willing to help and talk about the area. A really great site just minutes from the town centre – we would use again. We paid €15 per night with ehu and wifi, showers etc incl.
