We camped here for a long weekend recently. It's a lovely little site with more facilities than we expected - fridge, hob, kettle, microwave, all in a small shared kitchen area.
The single toilet is a portaloo - kept very clean, and separate his 'n' hers showers.
The site is quite small, so it may feel a little crowded if there are five tents pitched, and I imagine parking could be a problem.
On the friday morning, the traffic on the A road just over the wall woke us at 5ish. It was much less busy on the weekend mornings though.
One niggle - please fix the catch on the gate - wifey couldn't manage it at all.

This campsite is what you would call a "GEM" I stayed here for a couple of nights just to test out my equipment.
As soon as I arrived, The owners and their family bowled us over with their hospitality and attention to detail. No stone was left unturned and they had thought about just everything. Although a small campsite it was big enough for a good stay with plenty of room for the kids to run around and let their hair down.
The views were stunning and close to a lot of attractions such as the dark peaks. Trans Pennine trail and the Barnsley boundary walk. There was a communal fire pit (wood to burn provided) a pizza oven, plenty of seating. Fantastic shower rooms decorated to make you smile, a fully functional kitchen, electric hook up point.
Nothing is too much trouble, and the knowledge of the local area is well received.
Only downside, was that it is quite close to a road and traffic could be heard on occasion. Traffic did not bother us, but I wanted this to be a fair and accurate review. I cant say enough good about this site. I enjoyed it and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you.

We came here for a long weekend just before the schools broke up for the summer holidays. It was a very hot weekend (unusual to be writing that!), which meant we just chilled at the tent, because our two dogs would not have faired well had we done what we intended to (walk the Peaks).
Instead we relaxed, and this is an ideal site to do this, we essentially had the entire orchard to ourselves. The views from the site are lovely. The facilities are brilliantly quirky and original, but clearly there has been so much thought gone into it all.
The trailer tent was a little tricky to move on to the pitch, but there were plenty of willing hands to give us a heave ho, when we return, because we now know how good the facilities are, we will bring our smaller vintage pyramid tent with us instead. And we will return, we absolutely loved this site. We could relax, the dogs were chilled out, didn't have to worry about anyone else.
The campsite owners were such lovely chilled out people who nothing was too much bother for them. Yes, these are absolutely the type of people who I want to give my money to.
The only downside, and for us it isn't a downside at all living in a large city, is the road noise. It may trouble some, but not us. The location of this really small site is perfect for exploring the Peaks or Yorkshire.

We stopped in here on our way to Northumbria from London in our camper van.
It was ideal. A friendly welcome, great facilities, a warm sitting room for the kids to play in, and a beautiful orchard for supper.
Near the road but we didn't notice the noise and it meant it was easy to get to.
We had a great time and will definitely come again.
