 This is our second visit to this site. It is conveniently situated on the riverside within easy walking distance of the pleasant town of Diekirch, which has several restaurants and bars and shops
. A larger supermarket is situated on the outskirts.
There are miles of paths along the river, good for walking or cycling.
A short walk takes you to the station where you can get to Luxembourg city and other destinations for a couple of euros.
The sanitary facilities are clean, but you need the card for hot water deposit. €20.
There is wifi available, just ask at reception for a code.
The pitches are large open and flat, with 10A hookups. Some trees for shade.
The lady on reception is very friendly and helpful, you can order bread for next day.
The on site Smugglers Inn does good food and drink at reasonable cost, but can get busy so it may be advisable to book at reception as the locals use it too!
There is a small pool adjacent to the restaurant.
The site is well situated for exploring the pretty countryside and easy access to nearby Germany and Belgium.
Fuel is cheaper in Luxembourg with plenty of filling stations especially at the borders.
The site accepts ACSI in low season.

There are two very large campsites on the edge of Diekirch, this one is the slightly further out (by just a few minutes).
The pitches are very large, plenty of room for caravan, car and awning side by side with sitting space left over. Motorhomes and caravans share same pitches so for us the pitch was enormous. All have ehu and there are plenty of water taps around the site. Free wifi was a good signal from the reception over to the river side where we pitched.
Showers were clean and hot, we were given a card pre-loaded with 4 minutes shower time per person per day, you can add further minutes if you wish to buy them. There is a washing machine in the ladies loos - €5 per load.
At the rear of the site is a restaurant with an extensive menu, we didn't use though so can't comment on food.
The cycle / walking track runs along the front of the site between the pitches and the river, just 5 minutes walk to town. A small pedestrian area with several cafes and bars, some good shops, a war museum and enough to occupy most people for an afternoon at least.
The cycle path runs to the next town Ettlebruck (or indeed all the way to Luxembourg city). Ettlebruck is a larger town with a bigger selection of shops, you can catch a train from Diekirch which takes just 5 minutes.
We were there out of season so it was very quiet on site, however it does seem well organised and very well kept judging by the appearances after a long summer season.
