Stayed here on the way back from a week in Hungary.
The initial impression of the area was, to be frank, it seemed a bit scruffy and uncared for. The main road passing the site is quite busy from early morning until very late at night. Sleeping in a tent or awning unless one is at the far end of the site wouldn't be a pleasant experience for light sleepers. There is a warehouse of sorts alongside the site that also seems to keep strange times for deliveries.
The site itself also looked a little untidy but I couldn't make up my mind if that was down to lack of maintenance or that the weather was so warm that the grass and trees were just lacking in water.
The staff at the site were extremely helpful. Both people I spoke to spoke quite good English although I found I needed to speak plenty of German to ask more complex questions.
The sanitary facilities were very well maintained and a washing machine on site certainly helped.
There is free wi-fi on site but the only antenna is located near the main entrance and with all the trees around the range isn't great. We were about 70 metres from the reception building and could only get a signal fix with the laptop.
Next door to the site are a couple of supermarkets. One of which will be a familiar name to UK visitors. There are a couple of banks with ATMs a couple of hundred metres away from the site.
Unfortunately, for such a large site, there didn't seem to be anywhere reserved for children to run and play.
The real attraction of this site has to be the location and transport links to the city centre. It is possible to buy a day-rover ticket on-line and display the e-ticket on a mobile phone. If I remember correctly, it only cost about €6 per person per day to use an e-ticket. For those without a smartphone, on can buy a ticket from the tobacconist near the main entrance for just a couple of euros extra. The day rover ticket allowed us to use the bus, u-bahn and tram services without restriction or hassle. Travel time each way was just 35-40 minutes.
I'm not sure we'd go back to this particular site but it doesn't stop me giving it a good rating overall.
