 Possibly the most beautifully placed campsite we have come across, on the edge of the fjord at Geiranger.
The front pitches face out across the fjord and we found ourselves parked a few hundred metres from a cruise ship on night one and 5 tall ships on night two.
Facilities are kept clean and are fairly new, there is a laundry room where a wash was approx. £3. 50 and 50 minute tumble drier same cost. All the usual available, ehu, chem disp, motor-home service point, free wifi. There is a bakery 2 minute walk away for fresh bread and cakes.
The village caters pretty much purely to the cruise ships and campsites, several sounvenir shops, cafes and a hotel plus a small general stores.
Pitches are not marked which we found meant there was some strange and sometimes a bit worrying pitching including very close pitching and blocking in of others vehicles. The site management do not seem to look around the site at any time so anything goes.
The drive to and from make it all worth it – some of the most stunning views anywhere.
We paid NOK 260 per night for 2 adults with ehu – not cheap but the views are worth the price (showers are charged extra NK 10 for 5 minutes).
