Only in the next county, but very different looking countryside. We used sat nav to find it, and wished we hadn't, as it took us by an "interesting" route through the Hertfordshire countryside.
If coming from the Luton area, keep on the A602 from Hitchin to the A10, then up the A10 to the A120 to Stortford Road, the old A120 to Bishops Stortford.
We liked the site, pleasant views over the countryside. Go to the river Stort, south east of the town for lovely walks along the river and loads of blackberries.

Outstanding site. Great hosts.
If you want peace and a great sunset this is the place.
Easy to get about to various towns / villages. Used as a base to visit family.
Will use again.
Nothing too much trouble even advised us of diversions on route

Super site very friendly owners lovely walks direct from site, located just off A120 but next to no noise and because of position of field you can only just see the traffic. Great sized pitches.
I have already returned and plan to do so in the very near future. No showers or toilets but most caravans have their own but has electric hook ups, fresh water, and chemical and grey waste disposal

Be prepared for some aircraft noise, but you'll find the location is pleasantly set, reasonably level, with good views and some very nice walks.
The nearby road doesn't disturb. You've got a Tesco 2 miles up the road but nothing else in the opposite direction apart from a very well run pub in Little Hadden.
Alpacas make an interesting additional to your stay and can be visited. Facilities are simple but perfectly acceptable and easily reachable.
Be aware that the main road is unsuitable for cycling and not great for pedestrians owing to limited footpath.
We'd go back.

Lovely quiet site tucked up well behind the property and away from the road.
Open view across fields, bank of trees behind. Pitches need levellers.
On a flight path to or from Stanstead, so a bit of aircraft noise daytime only.
Nice pubs and eating places around. Had a very pleasant few days.

Stone House Farm CL is set well back from A120 surrounded by farmland. Important tip; Entrance is directly opposite Church End, take care not to overshoot entrance as you will have significant difficulty turning your combination round.
Negligible road traffic noise, but some aircraft noise if Stansted is using the easterly runway.
Pitching area measures very approximately 30m x 100m (quite generous for 5 ‘vans), surface is very well prepared and whole area is flat.
Water and chem disposal are conveniently located at one end of pitching area along with a box of local information.
Very dog friendly (no charge). You have a choice of footpath walks directly from pitching area.
No local shops; get everything in Bishops Stortford or Ware.
To sum up: a very pleasant & comfortable CL.
