We booked this site for one night on our way to Anglesey.
Brian and Josie are the owners of this adorable, lovingly tended site and Brian is a mine of information.
Quiet with lovely views of The Wrekin.
Couldn’t have been made more welcome and we will definitely return for longer as there is loads to see and do in the area.
The Hare and Hounds pub is a short walk away and serves great beer with a warm welcome.

This site is quite small, having space for 5 outfits, (3 hardstandings and 2 grass). There are no showers or toilets but there is ehu. The owner Brian keeps the site clean and very tidy and gives all campers a folder full of very useful information.
We were a little disappointed to find that the only off-road walk close to the site which ran parallel to the site was extremely overgrown and we abandoned our only attempt since the grass was almost as tall as me and we could not see where we or the dogs were walking.
There are nice touches like the pots of plants and bird feeders and there were rabbits and squirrels that appeared on site.
We liked Shropshire very much and will return at some point but probably to a site with walks direct from site.

Found this lovely site via UKCampsite - fantastic resource!
Quiet adults only site with just 5 pitches - it's a CL so, like many, you will need your own san & shower. Situated on the edge of Withington village, it's just a short walk (or even shorter bike ride) to the local pub which serves Wye Valley beer. Be aware that the pub serves food on Fridays and Sundays only.
Huge network of quiet country lanes for cyclists to enjoy and close to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and Telford too.
The Haughmond at nearby Upton Magna serves pricer but fabulous food lunchtimes & evenings.
Site even has a little 'barn' for get togethers if needed.
Owners Brian & Josie made us very welcome.
Thoroughly recommended, especially at just £14 a night with EHU.

We booked this lovely little site over the telephone. Were told our pitch number but also advised we could go anywhere if that was unsuitable when we arrived.
Approaching this site was easy enough. Although down a short narrow lane there was little oncoming traffic about during our whole stay.
The pitches are large and spacious and overlooking the Wrekin and surrounding countryside. To put it simply Beautiful.
As we were pitching and setting up Brian the owner appeared with a friendly smile and welcome pack for us to enjoy during our stay. The site is £14 a night with a hook-up which pleasantly worked at 16amp. There is a short walk to a welcoming local pub which serves pale ales daily and food during the weekends. If you fancy a change of scenery there is a pub/restaurant further down the road, right out of the site but you would need the car.
There is a lot to do in the area. We walked up the Wrekin, amazing views Way up high and worth a visit on a clear day.
We also drove to Welshpool train station, approx 35 mins away. There you don't pay for parking but can jump on the train to Barmouth. A fantastic 2 hour journey along the coastline and def enjoyable scenery so don't be put off by the travelling time as there is so much to see.
We stayed for five nights but felt with so much to explore in the area we would return to this delightful, peaceful, picturesque site. Where there are flowers in bloom and the birds are welcome to nest in bird boxes.

Tucked away down a lane, this is the place for peace, quiet, walks and a couple of pints of real ale in the nearby village. Very friendly owners, we even got half a dozen free eggs from Brian's chucks. There are walks from the site, but take the car for 10 -15 minutes and you have walks on the Wrekin and other beautiful areas nearby. The pub is dog friendly other than early Friday evenings and Sunday daytime when they offer food. Wye Valley and Hobson's beers. We'll be back. This is a Caravan Club CL site, so no shower block, just 5 vans; great!
