We chose this site from the ACSI book as a stopover on our way north. It has been well described before, and seemed fairly quiet when we were there, but we later walked round and found another section quite crowded.
The sanitary facilities were a bit stretched for the numbers on site, there is a small block behind reception too, near the restaurant and pool.
Whilst waiting in reception I read some newspaper cuttings on the wall, got the impression that the site had been closed and now reopened. The Warden was very friendly, and gave everyone a map of the town with instructions of how to walk to the centre, very helpful.
We probably wouldn't stay again unless we wanted to visit Orange.

Good, quiet site in great location near Autoroute and within walking distance of historic Orange centre - within about 20 minutes.
This is important as it is very difficult to park in the town centre and there is lots to see.
We used it as a transit site but there are many other lovely places accessible from here which would merit a longer stay. Pitches are good, flat and well hedged.
Toilet facilities are dated but clean enough. There is a small swimming pool and bar/restaurant but not open when we stayed in October.
Customer service relaxed but worked OK for us! We would stay again!

We stayed in this campsite in peak season for three nights and were surprised by how quiet it was. It was probably about half full. This is particularly surprising as it has a great location, just off the A7 and in Orange town - we could walk to the town centre with its bars and roman theatre within 20 mins.
Possibly it was so quiet because it doesn't have very good publicity and this seems a bit of a shame as it is a handy campsite for a short stay.
The pitches were pretty generous and clearly marked by hedges. Electricity points were easily accessible. Some parts of the campsite were shadier than others but your position could be negotiated with the campsite manager. There was a good small pool and a bar open everyday serving pizza in the evening.
The only negative about the campsite was the slightly dated toilet block. The showers could do with an update but were ok for a few nights. If the campsite was full, the fact there were only 4 toilets and showers could be problematic. There was a lot of sports facilities on the campsite including basketball court and tennis courts.
In terms of location and surroundings, we had plenty to do within a short drive of the campsite. We went to Avignon (45 mins away) and had a great day out visiting the beautiful 'Cotes de Rhone' region with its lovely villages and Roman ruins in Vaison.
Chateauneuf du Papes was only 15 mins away and we found a great farmers cooperative cave near Rasteau/Seguret (we rattled around the rest of our holiday with a bootful of cheap wine)!
I would stay at this campsite again due to its convenience and calmness.
