Excellent little CL with very friendly warden. Level grass pitches, two hook-ups. Five minute walk into town and 10 mins to harbour. Water, waste disposal inc chemical loo disposal. No showers or toilets, so you need your own facilities, but for the price, you cannot fault it, it’s quiet, surrounded by trees and right by the town. We are a retired couple and stayed here for one night on our way to Scotland. There is space to play if you had young children with you.

Been 3 times this year. Our favourite site in the heart of historic Maryport.
Very pretty, quiet, basic site. One toilet, waste point and water. Plans for two hook ups next year.
Level grass pitches.
Easy walk into town and an extra 10 minutes takes you to the harbour.
Dog friendly, couple of ponies on the site of a now demolished mansion. Only the peel tower remains. Surrounded by woodland containing the old Wigton railway station, the remains of an old gardeners cottage and a mill race.
Maryport itself has a Roman museum, indoor caving, climbing, aquarium, crazy golf and adventure playground by the harbour.
Golf course about a mile from site. Co-op locally and a large Asda 4 miles away.
Although there isn't much for kids on site there's plenty of room for a swingball or other toys and lots to do locally although you should be aware the river Ellen runs through the woods.
They have a Facebook page with photos. Search Netherhall Estate CL, Maryport.
The Bakehouse does huge portions of cake at very reasonable prices and the Indian restaurant is excellent.
I love the Gothic shop and there are a few charity shops and some antiques and collectibles. There's a traditional butcher and pets are catered for with a Pet shop at the top of Senhouse St. Nearby is a groomers and the Vets is on the main road at the bottom of the hill.
Maryport has a lovely little wet fish shop on the harbour and a pier if you like sea fishing. My son went crabbing off the harbour wall.
4 Miles up the coast in Allonby is The Codfather fish and chip shop with the biggest fish I've ever seen.
A little further is a Sunday market and car boot at Silloth, opens at 9am for buyers, also on bank holidays.
The site is approximately 30 minutes from Keswick and the lakes. Almost everything in Keswick is dog friendly including the pubs selling food.
At £5 per pitch per night without EHU it's brilliant value.
I've fallen in love with this site.
