This site is absolutely beautiful.
The surrounding area of new mills is stunning.
One of the best showers we have ever experienced. Everyone is so friendly.
Extremely clean and well maintained site.
We will definitely be returning.

This is our second visit in 3 months as the site is convenient, well maintained and close to the town of New mills.
As before an efficient check-in. Only 1 other pitch in use. Walked to the local convenience store for the odd bit we needed or had forgotten.
The first night was -3degC and apparently the taps in the dishwashing facility were frozen.
Unfortunately there was a layer of ice on the pavements which prevented me venturing out as I am blind and didn't want to risk injury. That night it was -5degC and the inside of the shower facility was too cold to use as the air inside felt as cold as outside.
The following day the ice was worse so stayed in. The last morning it was snowing and starting to settle but did not prevent us leaving.
Once again a pleasant stay not ruined at all by the weather.

Fantastic service throughout the booking process, and lovely clean services, it is only 5 hard standing pitches, and possibly not recommend taking an awning.
It is literally 5min walk to New Mills Newtown train station which we used everyday day of our stay, didn't use the car at all, to go to, Manchester 30min, Chester 1hr 50min, Buxton 30min, and Liverpool 1hr 45min, very cheap if you have a rail card, and regular service to quite late into the evening, as the xmas markets were happening in the big city's and lovely to see.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend,

Warm welcome by Theresa, the warden. The site has a small shop but does not stock food items although it did have 6kg propane cylinders for exchange.
The site is well laid out with an area of hardstanding for all the 5 pitches, utility block and elsan point. At the far end of the hardstanding is a grassy area with wooden chairs and a stone bench.
The utility block has a dish washing area, two unisex rooms, one of which is accessible. The accessible room had a heated rail which was on the whole time and if the doors are kept shut was warm enough to shower in. The block also has a laundry area.
The Elsan hut has a fresh water tap outside and a drainage grid for grey waste.
The town of New Mills is very close and easy to walk to. It has a railway station with a direct line into Manchester.
Within a couple of hundred yards is the canal towpath and also a chippy, a bakery and a well stocked convenience store
We had a great stay even managing a few hours of relaxing in 17degC warm sunshine.
The site is very convenient for us and we will return.

Small 5CL site, all hard standing (no grass), pitches quite small but ok.
Free WiFi. TV reception good.
10 minutes walk to town but there is a well stocked shop & chippie within a couple of minutes.
There are lots of walks & cycles accessible from the site.
Two unisex toilets with showers, not heated but clean and lovely hot water.

Nice site 5 van site next to the canal though towpath is on the opposite side which means you have to walk over the nearby bridge which carries a main road.
Facilities were modern and well maintained.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
Small on site shop with ice creams, sweets and a few essentials.
Good walks along the towpath.
Within easy walking distance is the famous Millennium Walkway, lying almost 100’ below the town (linking New Mills, the Torrs and Riverside Park), the Sett Valley Trail, an easy walk along a disused railway from New Mills to Hayfield, Goytside Local Nature Reserve, another great but easy walk that can be joined just opposite New Mills Marina, the Torrs Hydro, a fascinating Archimedian Screw installation that provides some of New Mills’ electricity.

Very good clean site, plenty of room for our MH and awning. Hard standing very firm. Hard to get the pegs into the ground.
Good location for the Peaks, Buxton and the Millennium walk in New Mills is close and a very interesting walk.
Could do with a remote motorhome charging/dumping point. Current location require long pipes to gain access. Which I don't have.

From the booking request to arrival to leaving everything was perfect.
The warden is so helpful and friendly, she keeps the loos and showers immaculate. Good sized pitches on hard standing with views over the marina. Washing up area under cover with plenty of hot water. Washing machine and dryer also available.
The Swizzles factory is over the road, lovely aroma of ' refreshers' all afternoon.
The mix of boats, campers and cottages works well, plenty of room for everyone with several beautiful outside spaces with tables and benches on the grass.
We stayed a night in transit, will be back for a longer stay as really one of the best Cl's we have used.

We were looking for a decent site in this area, preferably small, and with a good electricity supply and hard-standing, given the time of year. This site suited our needs perfectly and has been well-described by previous reviewers.
It was our first caravan trip with our new rescue dog and there were many good dog-walks straight from the site, in both directions along the canal towpath and in the country parks in the town, which were much appreciated.
The site is just off the main road into New Mills, so access is very good, but the immediate area is industrial - not the most picturesque, but when it's going dark at 4pm, the views are not that important! Looking over the moored barges and the canal was pleasant however.
The site was secure, quiet (no road or factory noise) overnight and we enjoyed our stay, and would use it again as a base in this area.
