This was our little Scottish paradise.
Lovely quiet field right next to Loch shiel.
Fiona, the owner, is so kind and helpful.
We're so happy we stumbled upon this campsite and hope to be back some day.

Absolutely loved this site, small friendly, right on the shore of Shiel.
Solar shower in the small camping field lovely and clean.
Clean toilets just up the field from the camping field. N
O fires or bbqs on the camping ground (working farm) but you can on the shore line.

Fantastic location on the shore of Loch Shiel.
Very simple site with great views and access to small sandy bays, almost like private beaches.
Drinking water stand pipes on the site, while toilets are 5 minutes walk across the road, so young children may not be able to go themselves.
A portable shower was erected during our stay on the site itself.
The local cows wake up very early and like to announce this to the world.
There is a shop in Acharacle, about 5 minutes drive.
Fiona (site owner) has sausages, bacon etc for sale, and could not have been more helpful and friendly from booking to arrival and advice on local walks or cycles.
Sanna Bay, Ardnamurchan Lighthouse etc are about an hour away by car.
There are plenty opportunities to see wildlife. We saw a slow worm and a white tailed sea eagle, deer and seals. The minke whales, orca and dolphins were not showing themselves at the lighthouse, but are apparently quite common.

We have to echo all of the previous reviews, the site is wonderfully situated on the banks of the loch and all of the essential services - fresh water, chem disposal point & toilets are available. Loads of space, mostly flat.
Really nice and helpful owner.
A little difficult to find, near to Langdale Nursery on the main (?!) road with the owners house set back a little on the N side of the road.
Very close to Tioram castle - a magical place at the end of the worlds worst short single-track road!

I camped here with a pal in March for a 4 night boating/fishing trip. We camped in a tipi with a tiny log burner inside & were quite comfortable.
With fresh water & toilets on site it was absolutely ideal for us. I prefer no frills camping, so if you want entertainment & booze, go somewhere else.
If you want peace & great scenery, this is it. Loch Shiel is wonderful, but the surrounding area is also beautiful & the West coast is renowned for it's beauty.
The site owners couldn't have been more helpful & welcoming, thank you. I'll be back!

Lovely site right next to a beach on Loch Shiel. We just stopped for 1 night but it was a great visit.
Fire on the beach, swim in the Loch. In the morning we saw deer right by our van.
Our doggo loved the freedom on the beach. Nice flat field with no set pitches.
Toilets are across road but no problem if you have your own facilities. Great for wildlife.
At £10 a night it was perfect, would visit again.

It was an excellent basic site. No electric, Tv or wifi and could not receive a data signal on my phone.
The site was level and mowed as often as was needed.
We intend to go there again next year.

Waking up at this little beach with the view of the loch on the clearest water for wild swimming was bliss.
Toilet is over the road but it’s like wild camping but with the safety of being in a secure field with the best location.
We were so lucky to have the weather and to have found this gem on our travels.
Would head there again for sure

The views were lovely, the surroundings were very nice.
The ground was perfect for pitching a tent with very little wind.
Fiona was so, so lovely and helpful!
I would visit again and recommend to others!
