Stayed here a few years back, somewhere between early 2016-2017 I think or 2017-2018. Anyways,
I Randomly just looking for a campsites and came across this lovely little place while driving through the Area of choice…
I was looking to just stay overnight as was visiting a friend close by but it was so lovely and quiet I actually ended up staying for 3 nights 4 days I think lol.
There was a few other campers there on longer stays and they were all lovely friendly people as well. Willingness to help if I needed anything or directions to and from etc but happily content to not be over neighbourly either.
This was my first time solo camping and luckily I had my friend to help put up my tent as I would have been stuck without there help. So for spur-of the moment taking a chance to just randomly find a campsite that day, I had a great time away visiting my friend and some extra unplanned days relaxing away.
So, considering I just randomly turned up to camping field to about 4-5pm on to randomly require staying there without no warning the owner was really friendly, very helpful and supportively kind throughout my stay.
I would totally Recommend staying here to anyone who is interested in camping on a smaller scale or something to tryout camping if new to it etc or for anyone who just needs some time, peace and quiet or solo safe travel space.
Actually I’m hoping to try stay there again shortly as memories there were lovely Tbf and campsite was a pretty looking place and not a larger over filled place. Definitely thumbs up and the historical tractors spotted around driveway in were so cute and just made my staying there complete as I like things like that.
Only thing that maybe a bit of a problem for someone is that they don’t offer on site facilities but if like myself and you want more of an outdoor back to nature and simple views then it’s perfect for everything else. Price per night was fabulous and ongoing extra stay blockings was even better 👍
… ( just to quickly mention on rating list below, I put 7/10 for on site facilities. Only reason for this was as in: No toilets/showers etc but that was stated by owner before I asked if I could book in … Also I have N/a in ratings for child friendly as I didn’t have any children with me while I was there but in my opinion it would be nice place for children especially younger as the field size and safety of it being gated off via long driveway means they could play within and parents would have peace of mind knowing that. I would love to take my grandchildren here to get them used to camping experience as to me it’s the ideal place to do this…
Hence my review now as randomly thinking about going camping again and also visiting with family a 30min drive away )…
Farmer/owner who was a lovely gentleman was on site once a day for any camping questions and was pleasant and safe place to be and stay … so glad I stumbled across this lovely place as it sold me on outdoor camping and was a pleasure to have been able to stay there considering the short notice of my asking lol. Thank you for the great memory meadow farm, you was brilliant 👍👍👍

The owner was very helpful when directing us to the site, on arrival had a brilliant sense of humour, nothing was too much trouble.
Each day of our 2 days he made sure we were ok. The site had limited facilities but that wasn't a problem to us. It took us a 20/30 mins walk into town. From site entrance we had to walk on grass verge for approx 200 yards before we reached a foot path. The town is ok for shops Sainsburys, Waitrose, and other shops, we hope to call again when next in the area
