 Just called to find a sign saying closed for refurbishment 2018! It's a great shame as it looks a very nice site with easy access to both Ceske Budejovice and Cesky Kumulov and there's no reasonable campsites anywhere in the area.

We arrived at this site on Sun 18th July only to find it closed completely for renovations. It doesn't look as if it will be open any time soon. It would be advisable to check in advance if you are thinking of going there.

The campsite and motel have just had a total makeover and its one of the best sites we stayed on in the Czech Republic.
The pitches are a decent size, all with ehu, water taps and drainage. Separated by small hedges they are on semi hard standing grass/ concrete lattice squares. Wifi is available across the site.
The showers were brand new and just opened, nothing to say other than perfect. Also perfect was the brand new swimming pool with sunbeds around the edge and a small children's paddling pool. There was also a sauna which was not quite finished and a cafe / bar at the swimming pool also about to be completed.
There is a restaurant on site which opens from breakfast onwards - mainly used the motel guests and the tenters in the mornings it also served lunches and light evening meals.
The ladies in reception spoke brilliant English and were really friendly and helpful with things to do and see and how to get there etc.
Next door to the site is a large park, a 10 minute walk across and there are a couple of supermarkets. From there you can cross a road bridge into the main town. Parts of the old town are Unesco listed, its absolutely stunning and worth at least a day to visit.
We would not hesitate to go back to the site or the town, both were very near the top of our favourite lists. We paid CZ 400 per night for 2 adults with ehu.
