We’ve been tenting and caravanning all our lives.
Without doubt the best most beautiful relaxing site we’ve stayed at.
Anne and Robin are wonderful hosts.
Stayed here 4 or 5 times before, worth the money by a country mile.
Great walks from the site.

This site is expensive at £24 per night
You would expect a friendly welcome. However if you own a motorhome you will be asked to pitch in a small sandy gravel car park they seems to hate motorhomes.
The list of site rules is endless
At £24 a night it is extremely expensive for a CL and poor value for money My advice is to steer well clear if you have a motorhome

This site is well laid out with well appointed easy too use facilities. Mrs Upton was extremely helpful when we had to re-arrange our booking due to change of circumstances.
There are hardstanding plots which can be used during inclement weather and they were very handily located near to the facilities.
We have stayed before in the field site area which is a very good size and the visitors have plenty of space between the units. When the weather changed we moved to the hardstanding areas with no trouble at all. Mrs Upton is very proud of her site and likes it to be cared for by the visitors (credit to her as this makes it pleasant for everyone else who uses the site).
We have family in Haywards Heath and this site is perfectly located for us and we will definitely use this site again.
At the moment we haven't had a chance to investigate the immediate surrounding area. However we have made use of the local garage every time as it is so handy for the site.

Visited this adults only CL site for a 4 day visit last year. The site has all the usual facilities and the added attraction of a pub 10 minutes walk back down the lane. However the friendly owner of the site recommended that we didn't go to eat there as she had heard several poor reports about the food since the pub had recently changed hands.
The site has a huge grassed area with hook ups, but as it was so wet we stayed on the hardstanding area (also with hook ups). There are several lovely walks from the site, one being to the village of Cuckfield, that in spite of the weather were not too muddy.
There are several attractions nearby, including the Millennium Seed bank and of course Haywards Heath is the closest town with direct access to London on the train.

This is a Caravan Club members only C.L. Adults only site which is open all year. There is a large grassed area with shrubs, and also an area of hardstanding, and electrics to all 5 pitches.
It is well maintained and has lovely views of the downs. There are several interesting walks from the campsite.
The attractive village of Cuckfield is approximately 1 mile away, and there is a lovely walk across the fields. There are 2 pubs, a hotel, an Indian restaurant and 2 teashops in the village, plus various other shops.
We visited the local pub in Ansty and had a very good meal at average cost.
There are lots of places to visit nearby, but for most you need to drive.
We will definitely return.

This is a Caravan Club CL Site. This means it is not open to non-members. This is a well laid out site of one and a half acres of lawned field so there is plenty of space between vans. It has good views over the South Downs. The site entrance is a private lane along side of Ansty Cross pub, but once on site there is no noise from any activity from the pub, This site is very peaceful. The pub had been closed for a couple of years and reopened end of July 1997 serving mainly meals. That was my last of 4 visits to the site. Mrs Upton is the site warden and is very friendly and will give all the help asked for.
The site is no good for families, as there is a no children and no ground sheet rule. Even so, advance booking is required as it is very popular, restful site. The walking is not very exciting around the site, but it was only a 100 metres walk to the pub for a pint (or two), or a meal, or indeed both(!). The pitches have electric hook ups, and there is a water tap, dustbins and toilet emptying area, on the site. The nearest town is Haywards Heath - (has most major high street shops)
