 Firstly the positives:
The swimming pool and slides are fantastic, there is a huge amount of sun loungers which is pleasing and there is a life guard on duty too.
The shop is very well stocked although is a little expensive which is the norm I find for campsite shops.
Staff friendly and helpful.
The area is a great base to see some beautiful sites including Dune du Pyla and San Sebastian.
Negatives:
When we arrived, the site was full, thankfully we had booked. Our pitch (310) whilst large was in a very awkward position to get a touring caravan in, I think this should have been highlighted to us when we chose the pitch. We paid extra to choose our pitch (out of a limited number available) but were not made of the access difficulty when using the online chat facility to choose the pitch.
There are many signs stating that silence is expected between 11pm - 7am. However, the campsite entertainment when on way beyond that time. There was also very loud music from nearby which went on until 1am several nights a week.
The toilet blocks are totally inadequate for the number of pitches when the site is at capacity. The toilet block nearest to our pitch had 5 toilets (plus disabled and infant toilets) there were often queues even at 11pm which proves that the facility is inadequate.
In conclusion, this could be a gorgeous site, the pool area is fantastic, but it is let down by the lack of facilities and poor enforcement of 'rules'. I appreciate that we were there at probably the busiest time of the year, but the facilities should be adequate for the number of pitches!
