 Nice walking area. Pub within walking distance.
Very quiet site.
Quaint petrol station and convenience store like out of the fifties it should be listed grade two not many of these left now.
Petworth House short easy drive. Nice place to chill out.

We have stayed at this site a few times but the owner is a bit prickly and moaned about too much rubbish left (we always take our rubbish and recycling home)
She accused us of blocking the toilet tip with wet wipes but we live in a country location and are not on mains drainage and know they can cause a blockage so we never use them.
We will not return as we go camping to relax and when you are worried all the time that another camper will leave rubbish or block the toilet tip and you get the blame it is not relaxing.

Stayed for two nights recently, absolutely lovely campsite in the middle of nowhere, quiet basic, perfection.
Basic requirement met, supplied water and waste disposal. No kids which is an absolute bonus.
Beautiful location and great fishing if that's what floats your boat.

Caravan Club CL Site - Only members
No facilities only fresh water & waste disposal.
Beautiful retreat for a few days. Very quiet & secluded. We stayed for 4 nights & had a lovely restful time.
The site is in a wooded area with a lake to one side. Owners are very friendly & even took in the delivery of my new awning groundsheet for me.
Ballons take off in the next field which is very fascinating to watch & the children loved it. Plenty of room for the children to play games.
We had a slight problem with midge's as they seemed to love my husband who ended up with over 100 bites! Myself & the children not too bad with bites.
Local pub within about 40 mins walk served fantastic food at good prices too.
Fish & Chip shop in Petworth also very good.
Will definitely return.

This is a Caravan Club CL Site. This means it is not open to non-members.
The site is in a woodland clearing with a trout fishing lake. There are no facilities apart from a water tap, dustbin and toilet emptying area. The best pitches, (possibly 3 - it all depends how others have sited their vans) are overlooking the lake which is at a lower level than the rest of the site, and also not overhung by trees.
I stayed for 1 week and found some good walking places. At the time I was there (August 1996) the British School of Ballooning were operating 2 fields away and this was fascinating to watch. For the photographers out there, this would be a good opportunity.
I found the site very peaceful, long walks to pubs, nearest big towns Petworth & Guildford. Good for peaceful breaks & fishing.
