Visited with two children ages 10 and 12 who enjoyed the pool and small slide. Enjoyed our stay toilets a bit dated but ok decent wash up area. Lively some evenings with entertainment that can be loud and go on until midnight but we enjoyed that. Nice cycle paths near by which we hired bikes from site. St Giles croix short drive away was nice and had a huge beach. Town nearby with supermarkets. We had a good sized pitch with hedges all round but some of pitches were like double with a hedge around two or more spaces so less private. We were close to club house pool which had its benefits but also could be quite loud with the evening entertainment we like that and would have the same pitch again. Very relaxed atmosphere and not too fussy. We also got on well with the French static owners and had a laugh.
Are thinking of returning to the same site so says it all really

We last used this site approx 10 years ago when it was run by a family and we're really looking forward to returning to it. Oh how we were to be disappointed. It seems to be run by youngsters, who although are helpful, seem to forget about noise levels.
They seem to segregate nations. Most of the British were place behind the swimming pool, with the Germans slightly futher down, the Dutch were the other side of the site with the french. Granted there were a few mixed together.
At the pool was also the bar where evening entertainment occurred. Unlike most sites this one doesn't quieten down at a reasonable time at night. The music doesn't start at night till 21:30 or 22:00, and plays on well past midnight every night. Ok we were in a tent and noise does travel, but 2 pitches up from us was a caravan with a 1 year old who they couldn't get to sleep till after midnight every night.
There is one night weekly with no entertainment, a Saturday, but no relief of noise as there is a local disco every Saturday at the sports stadium right behind the site and this goes on till 2 am!
On the plus side the pitches are large but you need steel pegs for tents and awnings as the ground is baked hard. The showers and toilets are plentiful, with laundry sinks and washing up sinks, there is a laundry on site and also a doggie shower. All of these facilities are kept clean by staff.
We tried to use the shop once but if you didn't order your bread the day before there wasn't any spare for anyone else.
Such a shame about the noise levels as this could be and has been in the past a lovely site, they need to take a leaf out of other sites rules of having a quiet site from 22:30 or 23:00.

We stayed at La Trevilliere in August and I have to say, we loved it.
Our pitch was large and flat although quite sandy. This wouldn't have mattered had we not had the most enormous storm which ripped all our pegs out (we are prepared now!) But, the pitch drained well. Our pitch was a sunny one but there were a lot of shady ones or under tree. On this site there are also chalets which looked lovely.
The pool was fab, almost 2 pools in one with one a sliding roof so it could be indoor or outdoor. It was warm apart from the last few days of our holiday when they seemed to have turned the heating off. It had a lifeguard every afternoon. There was a small water slide which kept the kids happy, toilets at the pool and plenty of sun loungers. The no board shorts rule was strictly enforced.
Reception was small and friendly, I didn't have cause to really use it but you could hire fridges and gas bbqs there.
The playground was large and well kept. Mini golf looked a bit tired but perfectly OK and just a couple of euros each to play.
The bar was great, friendly staff. A very simple bar menu but the homemade pizzas were out of this world, huge and only about 7 euros. There was a room with a pool table, a few game machines etc for kids. Lovely decking area where entertainment was on most nights in one form or another. There was also kids entertainment every day - either a football game, a show or something similar.
There was a shop but, it was literally just a room at the side of the bar and I never once saw it open. You could order bread and pastry's from the bar though.
There are 3 blocks of toilets - the ones closest to us were the worst ones, the other 2 blocks being lovely - more modern and cleaner. Large sinks for clothes washing if you didn't want to use the insight launderette. Showers were great, clean and hot. Despite our toilet block being the poorer one, it didn't bother me at all, it was still a perfectly good block - just that the others were nicer!
The site is managed by an English guy who was very friendly.
I have always found it hard to find a site that ticks our boxes - family friendly, a bit going on if you want it but not full on bells whistles and kids clubs. This is it.
The local area is beautiful, small village of Brettignolle is walking distance with a supermarket and markets frequently. The beach is walkable and huge. Lots of little cafes and restaurants locally but we didn't use them. It is a short drive to St Gille Croix de vie and St Jean de Monts, both very touristy and busy but without doubt, the best ice cream ever! St Gilles has a very large eleclerc too and shops.
Going south there are many more villages and towns along stunning coastline. I have completely fallen in love with the area and booked to go back to La Trevilliere again this year!
I can't leave a review without mentioning puy du fou - wow! It is around an hour or so drive from the camp but it is well worth a visit. Prices are much more resnoble to any theme park in the UK and it is unlike any place I've ever been - do look it up!
This site is bookable through the c and c club as is the puy du fou tickets.
