 Very big site with mix of units
Great location for visiting the castles and local town of Füssen
Bike lanes from site to Schwangau and beyond
Nice open spaces and stony beaches to access the lake, with a nature reserve to walk through
Staff pleasant and helpful,
Facilities clean and restaurant and beer garden open in late September

The campsite was very good the toilets and showers were clean and worked well.
There is a restaurant and also a beer garden and they have a good variety of meals at different prices.
The site is ideal for visiting the neuschwanstein castle

Just a couple of miles away from Neuschwanstein castle and Fussen, situated on the road side with a large campsite area and a separate Camperstop area to the front of the site.
We used the Camperstop, large hard-standing pitches, all with their own ehu, water taps and grey drains. Chem disp in the main camp. Wifi was available but signal to weak to reach this area ~(even with a Booster).
The showers and toilets were very clean and loads of hot water, there was a cafe on site which was serving buffet meals and afternoon teas. From the site there is direct access onto the river, they hire out bikes including electric bikes - €7 for half a day. Plenty of cycles paths around the lakes, up to Fussen town and to the two castles.
Reception spoke good English and they were very friendly and helpful at all times.
As well as the castles the other main attraction is the cable car into the mountains, less than 5 minutes drive to the cable car station from the campsite. There is a regular bus service that stops outside the campsite gate to both the castles and Fussen.
We found this a perfect stopover for the area, €20 per night for 2 adults on a fully serviced pitched with showers.
