 Next to the lakes and just a few hundred yards from a restaurant this is a really well thought out camperstop.
Big hardstanding pitches with grass area in front, all have ehu and there is water empty / fill and chem disp available at the gate.
Wifi free across the site, wardens come each morning and evening for an hour to check all is well, we needed helpwith finding a dentist and they booked an appointment with a local dentist for us. Payment is via an honesty box system. There are not any showers or loos.
There are loads of walks around the lakes and plenty of fishing opportunities. The area has hundred of miles of good cycle paths, its less than 10 minutes cycle into Mengen town where there is a good selection of shops, from there the choice of cycle paths is numerous, mostly flat and nearly all the ones we used were off road.
We paid €9. 50 per night for 2 adults with ehu.
