We've been to this site a few times now. Fab location as can walk down to the harbour. Pub on site.
Not the most luxurious facilities but we weren't fussed.
Will probably be back again.

Great location, nice staff.
The shower block was cold and the flooring needs replacing. The dishwashing area was hopeless and the pitches weren’t level.
It was grossly overpriced at £23 for one night. I chose it because it was caravan and camping club site. I was thinking of joining but won’t now.
At Croyde I got a level pitch, on beach location, decent ablutions, swimming pool, entertainment suite for £17 per night a week ago

Such a shame, this site needs a upgrade all round.
The only thing going for it is the location, poor toilets and the men's share with the pub so a mess on a Saturday and Sunday morning, useless washing up facility for your pots and pans etc with cold water.
Houses etc behind site and one did not give a thought about the campers with foul language and making a short cut by our unit at stupid hours in the morning.
Unless it changes I won't be back

There are 2 fields to stay in, grass pitches only, the top field is accessed behind the pub and the lower field is accessed via the football teams carpark in front of the pub, booking in is at the bar.
Fairly sloping pitches on top field so levellers will be needed but the pitches that were adjacent to the houses behind had the sun all day long. The pitches are a bit on the small side, no 6m rule observed here.
The showers and toilets were adequate and clean with large showerheads and plenty of hot water. The main bugbear was the washing up facilities which consisted of 1 sink in the centre of the field with just a coldtap so had to take a kettle of hot water with you to do the dishes.
So compared to the amenities on other sites £25 is a bit steep, but what you are paying for is location, location, location - just a 5 min walk brings you to the harbour with all the pubs, shops and eateries, and access to the coastpath

Disappointing & overpriced. During a week of touring Cornwall I stayed on 2 sites with 3 AA pennants and good facilities, they charged £12 & £13. 50 respectively. Mill Lane charged £22 with mediocre facilities.
The ladies' toilet/shower block was shabby with no heating: the windows in the showers were all wide open and too high up to close them - end of September, cold, wet & windy!
I didn't bother, I just had a wash & washed my hair in my van. There was no hot water at the dish washing area and the chemical toilet disposal unit was down a fairly steep grassy bank.
Would you risk skidding down there carrying a cassette of you-know-what?! And the pitches are so small I suspect they could be illegal. Porthleven is an up-and-coming town and deserves a better site than this.
