Good points: lovely views from site, excellent mobile phone signal, 16amp hookup, water tap and chemical disposal. 20 min easy walk into Hay on Wye.
Bad points: no toilet or shower on site (despite being advertised as available) Public footpath directly past caravans and mobile homes with a noisy gate next to pitches. Access road to site is very narrow.
£20 a night would be reasonable for this site in august if there was a toilet and shower, but without these facilities then I think you will find better sites for your money.

This is a superb little site. So quiet and spectacular views. An easy walk of 15 mins down to hay on wye. Large open grassland, well mowed with electric hook ups. Just water tap, toilet disposal, 1 shower and 1 toilet. What more could you want when you have a caravan with onboard facilities. All very tidy and clean. Toilet and shower are down steps which could be tricky for the infirm. We go back year after year and would like to keep it a secret but you can’t do that when reviewing obviously. The family who own Tirmynach are super so friendly and welcoming when you go up to the house to pay but they never come to bother you. This year 2018 we have bought a brand spanking new car and caravan and sadly may not come again as the lane is narrow and if David hasn’t had the hedges cut back we would arrive with scratched vehicles. It didn’t bother us before with our already battered and scratched van but now we have new which is our pride and joy. A previous review commented on scratches to new van. So sad if we can’t go again.

A very nice site in a huge well mown field; ehu is at the top which is level, the rest is undulating and perfect for dogs to run around. It is situated behind Radnors End caravan site so makes a good alternative if you are a CC member. It has a modern loo and shower, down some steps near the house, and good recycling.
You never see the owners, have to go to the farmhouse to pay, £12. 50 per night which is fine.
The nearest shop is the Co-op in Hay, left from the site, left at the junction by the Three Tuns pub, about 300 yards down the road from here. There is an outdoor shop next to it. There doesn't seem to be a garage in Hay, but there is one at Clyro, right out of the site and about a mile away, which also has a small shop. The Baskerville Arms in Clyro does food.
This is definitely a site to recommend.
