Great location on the river with stunning views.
20 minutes walk to the pretty village of Dinant.
I have read reviews about the road noise but it settles down at night a worth a little noise for the location and views.
Great stay.

We chose the site due to its location, which is perfect for visiting Dinant. I emailed a request but did not get a reply, so I called the campsite and made a booking over the phone. Arrived after 12 noon only to find reception is closed between 12 and 3pm, so parked up in a lay by nearby and waited. Lady in reception reacted to me a little brusquely at first, but was actually quite kind, so don’t be put off!
Pitch was overlooking the river, but be aware of the railway on the other side - didn’t bother us but some may find it noisy. We had a hard standing pitch with EHU - just seemed a little tired and in need of a little TLC - grass and hedge cut etc. Pitch not too bad, level-wise - just needed one chock.
Free wifi with good reception at the pitch.
Showers required tokens available from reception at 1euro each. Ladies showers were a bit grim in that there was an unpleasant smell and water didn’t seem to drain away properly - but the water was hot. No smell in the men’s showers, and apart from one basin hanging off the wall, it was clean and tidy.
Short walk into the town and supermarket en route. Leffe museum and citadel worth a visit.
All in all, a popular stopover for those wanting to see the town, and it’s worth putting up with the inadequacies for the convenience of location, if just for a short time!

Good location by the river.
We were travelling out of season so there was plenty of space, I would imagine in the season it would get busy due to its location being walking distance into Dinant.
We were greeted warmly and no fuss booking in.
Facilities all good and heated.

The camp site is an easy 2km walk from Dinant Centre.
There's also a well used bike path running on the opposite bank of the river which is easy to cross at a footbridge.
Facilities are OK- but do check the prices as the "taxes" seem hit and miss.
They also charge separately for a car and a caravan - showers ranged from €1 to €1:50. Chatting to others on site revealed these differences.
Reception opening times sre clearly displayed but not necessarily held to. A good location so wouldn't write it off. Just be prepared to be flexible! Dinant itself is a lovely little town.
The Leffe Museum wasn't worth the hype but the Combined Ticket for Citadel; cable car & boat trip excellent value.

Maybe not the best campsite we've ever visited, maybe not the prettiest, but. It was clean, level grass pitches and not overly expensive at 21 Euro's per night with water and electric at your pitch. Yes, there are seasonal vans along the waterside but these do not spoil the site. Also, the site is situated between the road and the river, with a somewhat busy railway line on the other side, some of the huge car carrying trains from France pass here and can be noisy. The shower blocks are separate, were always clean, with token operated showers that give you plenty of time and hot water. The site is only 1. 5 km from Dinant, a beautiful tourist town with plenty to see. There is a bus stop at the site entrance, but if you cycle there is an unmarked obvious cycle path to town which means crossing over the Weir lock gates to the other side of the river. We spent 2 nights here to visit Dinant and would use again if in the area.

A well located site beside the river Meuse, 20 mins walk from Supermarket and Dinant town. Helpful reception, but limited English spoken. The site caters mainly for 'static' vans - touring vans either pitched seasonally or longer term. These occupy the riverside pitches, but there is plenty of space - all on grass - for tourers.
There is a single modern toilet & washing block which while clean and well maintained, might benefit from a little tidying up.
Although there is little river traffic, road noise at morning 'rush hour' and overnight freight trains (on opposite side of river), can be intrusive. On the plus side, the whole area benefits from free, reasonably fast Wi-fi for a max of 8 hours / 300 Mbytes per day.
Dinant was the birthplace of Adolphe Sax, inventor of the Saxophone, and this is pretty obvious with numerous statues of saxophones everywhere you look.
The town itself is dominated by the 'Citadel' which sits atop of a 100mtr. High cliff and fortunately there's a cable car to the top. There are various'packages' available such as Cable car + tour of the Citadel + boat trip. These are well worth while taking. Look out too for the numerous shops selling fancy bread and cakes.
Overall, an interesting place for a short break.
Cost for motorhome + 2 people + EHU was 17 Euro/ night. Showers cost 1 Euro(buy token at reception).
