We stayed here for just 2 nights while touring Cornwall revisiting childhood holiday spots.
On arrival I really felt like we had stepped back in time and wondered if we'd made a good decision.
There are only 6 camping pitches slotted in between statics.
The site is predominately static and bungalows.
The showers and toilets are very dated but spotlessly clean. There is a picnic bench and rotary washing line for each pitch with is a nice touch.
There is a washing up room with free use of a fridge and freezer for campers. Plus 2 sinks and drainers. All spotless.
The real Jewel in the crown of this site is its location. You simply cross the road and you are on the sandy path to the beach. It is the closest site to the beach in the area.
There is a general stores just a short walk away selling all essentials.
The Tv signal is none existent but there is an areial point on each hook up post. Phone signal is also none existent as you are in a bit of a black spot. However I did get a free BT hotspot at the entrance to the site and that wifi signal was very good enough to make a call home through whatsapp on wifi.
Both pubs in the village serve excellent food.
Footpaths to Crantock amd Perranporth are opposite the site leading onto the coastal path.
If you are looking for all the bells and whistles this site is not for you. But we found it very quiet peaceful and relaxing. Which is what we were looking for.
We will be returning to this site and I hope it doesn't change and become over commercial as I think it's perfect the way it is. Speaking to other campers who return year after year due to the peace and quiet of the site.
