This is a small site in a very attractive and well maintained garden-type setting behind the owners' house, a bit like an overgrown CL or CS. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, and speak excellent English - Els even brought us out coffee and biscuits shortly after our arrival. E-mail communication was very good, with same or next day replies to my enquiries, and once on site Hans gave us detailed information and directions to shops, petrol stations and places to visit in the area. He even helped me learn a (very) few words of Dutch!
The site is just a few minutes drive from the A2 and A79 motorways on the outskirts of the small town of Meerssen, which has a variety of shops and restaurants, including Jumbo and Lidl supermarkets, and a swimming pool. There are 3 or 4 trains per hour into Maastricht from the local station, just a few minutes cycle ride or 15-20 minutes walk from the site, and we enjoyed a pleasant cycle ride to Valkenburg (about 5 miles).
The site itself is very quiet and peaceful and best suited to adults, as there is no playground or space for ball games, but there is significant noise from the trains which run behind the house, and some road and aircraft noise. Although the trains took us by surprise at first, we quickly got used to them and did not find any of the noise intrusive, though it may be for others.
Hans and Els are very proud of the appearance of their site, and to preserve the grass areas, once you are pitched cars are left in a parking area at the back of the site (about a minute from the pitches) and there are reinforced pitches for motorhomes. In 2 of the pitching areas there is a pretty, covered seating area with a barbecue, for anyone to use. The washing-up sinks, toilet and shower facilities are modern and immaculately kept, with hot water at all times. There are 6 amp electric hook-ups and the usual water points and chemical disposal, and excellent wi-fi coverage. The wi-fi, electric and all taxes were included in the cost of 20 euros per night. ACSI card is accepted in low season.
We really enjoyed our stay on this site and wish we could have stayed longer. We would return without a moment's hesitation.

Lovely small campsite in an interesting area of the Netherlands with very friendly and helpful owners. We arrived in pouring rain but this did not deter the owner from taking us to our pitch and ensuring our caravan was level before he left us. The site is very pretty with lots of flowers. We felt as though we were staying in the owners back garden. Facilities were spotless with plenty of hot water. The town of Meerssen is close by for shopping. We cycled to Maastricht while we there and also to Valkenburg. Both very interesting places to visit. Would have no hesitation in returning. Wifi was free and very reliable but you did need to get a code from reception each day to gain access.
The site was full during part of our stay there so it may be worth booking ahead.
