Fantastic site, well run with excellent facilities,
Aside from the adjacent railway (which I didn't mind at all) it's super quiet there and perfect for some relaxation and at the weekend it was really peaceful,
The nearest road was so quiet and the difference in traffic between Surrey and Suffolk is amazing,
The rural location was bliss,
Totally recommend the site and Ivan is a great guy to deal with,
Give the place a go- you won't regret it.
I will definitely be back.

As others have said, this site has All you need and More for £16/night.
Free hot Showers, Immaculately clean toilet facilities. Also use of :- Washing machine and Dryer £1 each. Microwave, Kettle, Fridge/Freezer & dish washing area.
Water tap & Chemical waste point.
There is also a Rally field, a Bond owners club were there during our visit.
The owner is very personable.
The site is within easy reach of Suffolk coast. We visited Framlingham.
There are also many circular walks from the site.
Haughley village is a pleasant 40 minute walk from site. Turn right at entrance then take first footpath on right into the village. There is a Coop, excellent Bakers, Kings Arms pub serves good food, there is also an Indian restaurant that will deliver free to campsite (Thursday to Saturday).
We heard Tawney OWLS at night and Green & Great Spotted Woodpeckers in the day.
Yes, the site is adjacent too a railway, but it didn't bother us.
We will return.

Not much more to add really, a very good site with easy access and an accommodating owner. We had to change the dates several times and every time email communication was excellent.
Very good facilities plus a campers kitchen. Easy to get to everywhere and plenty of local footpaths.
£15 a night is very good.
The only slight annoyance, not the fault of the site, was the many freight trains, maybe due to Brexit??

Lovely spacious & peaceful campsite in the Suffolk countryside. Although close to railway line noise is minimal as trains are short apart from a few freight trains. Much better than being close to a busy main road.
Toilets/Showers are immaculate. The best I have seen on a CS/CL site in 12 years of camping. The owner was most obliging and very friendly.
Shops inc. A small Co-op closeby at Haughley + a larger Co-op/Railway Station at Elmswell [PS; railway station does'nt have a car park]
In short this is a great campsite with excellent facilities [inc. Washing machine/fridge freezer] in a lovely part of the country with easy access to main routes ie. A14
The reason I joined the C&CC is to have access to sites like this. Will definitely be back.

A delightful stay in a lovely location. Due to a family emergency we had to extend our booking, arriving 2 days earlier than planned and departing later.
Ivan was empathetic, facilitated date change and was really helpful. We appreciated being allowed to have family come and spend an afternoon with us for a BBQ, welcomed by Ivan which was a very personal touch.
Good value for money, super facilities in wash block, including an inside wash up area, fridge freezer and washing machine.
Large field, hookups, wildlife including hares. Trains did not bother us.
We will be returning to this peaceful site.

Easy accessible location in a gorgeous flat field with both hardstanding, grass and electric pitches. The toilets and showers are very good and there are sinks and a washing machine too.
Plenty of wildlife with birds, pheasants, rabbits and hares about. The owner is very friendly, informative as to places to go /eat and advised us on motorhome parking in Bury St. Edmunds. Plenty of walks from the site, across adjoining fields to enjoy the views and to the local villages of Haughley and Wetherden.
Visited Southwold, Lackford Nature Reserve, Ickworth House from site.
Definitely we will return here when coming to the area again.

My first foray into the Camping and Caravan club, and it's a great start.
Owner was away but took time out of his holiday to sort out my short notice booking. Couldn't be more helpful.
The site itself is really nice. A large, flat field with firm but workable ground, even in the dry heatwave conditions.
Very quiet and peaceful. As said previously, the adjacent train track doesn't really affect that. Trains are infrequent and actually quite pleasent to watch.
Near two villages with pubs, shops and a takeaway but realistically a car might be needed. The nearest pub is one mile away but can only be reached via a twisty country narrow lane, with no path. Walkable but at your own risk.
Shower and toilet block is superb. Is quite new and has a freezer, washing up facilities and looks to have a soon to be in use washing machine.
For basic and peace and quiet, but with all the niceties, this comes recommended highly.
