We stayed here with adult friends, taking all 5 CAMC pitches. (There is also an adjacent paddock with some hook-ups. ) Excellent communication with the site via text; £20 pn (more for a single night).
Effective shower, with honesty box payment. Toilet roll was topped-up daily, but BYO in case it runs out. The water tap at each pitch was handy. CDP & grey water go into the same drain.
Good recycling. Too early for the wee honesty-box shop to have much, so we stocked up at Tesco or Aldi at Dumfries or Annan. Views of the nearby shore, but poor weather hid the Lake District fells. Totally quiet (apart from the over-flying geese from the nearby Caerlaverock WWT reserve).
We asked to use the "hobbit hut" which had a fire pit, bench seats, electric lights & sockets; the fire did need good kiln dried kindling and logs (eg Tesco, not Aldi or driftwood). Otherwise it smoked (had to open a window and/or door). We decided against using charcoal, to be safe.
We went to the new Sandpiper cafe bar on the nearby Queensberry site to snack & watch the rugby on TV, as the site's mobile signal is weak; it's a 10 minute walk down a track and along the back of the beach.
There are plenty of local (dog) walks that are well signed - pick up a leaflet (donation) in pretty Powfoot. Good cycling on quiet roads & tracks. Several interesting museums in the area - the Devil's Porridge museum at Annan was particularly recommended.
Also worth going into nearby Ruthwell Church to see the beautiful medieval cross inside.

First time on a CE site despite having 30+ years of caravanning behind us. Very friendly and helpful couple who run the site.
We had beautiful weather which made the weekend much more enjoyable.
Great if you have dogs, short walk to the beach, access to the beach was muddy but ok if you’re wearing suitable footwear, it didn’t stop us and our 3 dogs.
We mainly walked the beach, but explored Powfoot which is charming and full of Victorian character. If you want peace and quiet and enjoy walking it’s perfect.
There’s also a restaurant at the caravan park along the road which you can walk to.
There’s everything you need and also a summerhouse stocked with home made jams, chutney, ice lollies, sweets etc with an honesty box.
The managers are doing a great job and we will definitely be back again.

Spent 2 nights at this delightful CL and without a doubt will be going back.
Pitches are hardstanding and clean.
Access is via a narrow lane but that caused no problem at all.
Saturday night and the hosts had prepared a free BBQ (donations to a big C charity) - a very pleasant evening.
Fantastic uninterrupted views over the Solway Firth to the lake district, and great walking over the mud flats and surrounding area.
A hidden gem.

Good site but when we went in the rainy Autumn, Narrow one way road for 1/2 mile. When it rained in the 2 ways to get there the road was 1 foot deep in water, nearly got stuck, wind swept.
Had to face the camper van side ways to hide the awning from the wind.
Plus side there is a new pub a field away,
Clean site.

The lady owner was very pleasant. I rang to enquire for one night and she said to come and pitch up and she would see me later for the money. There are 5 hardstanding pitches with EHU and water taps for each. The facilities were clean and showers were 50p (put in an honesty box!) Same with the washing machine which I think was £2. They were all housed in an outbuilding next to the pitches with a 'Caravan Club Members Only' sign on the door.
Opposite the pitches is a large grassed area for playing, with a couple of Wendy houses and a 'No dogs allowed on the grass' sign. There were some scarecrow type figures around the site which were great fun!
It is about a 15 min walk along a footpath which goes through an adjacent caravan/holiday home park to Powfoot where there is a nice hotel/pub. Cost was £12 per night inc EHU. Access to the site is down a narrow lane.
