 A very disappointing site that we had hoped was going to be a nice little stop on a tour of the area.
The main impression you get of this site is that it has very much seen better days and has been allowed to deteriorate over a number of years and almost all aspects of the site and its facilities need some attention.
The site is very big and along with other facilities nearby it was obviously a fairly popular destination at one time and has had quite a bit of money spent on it at some point, which judging by the building was probably the 1980s. Since then not much has been done to keep the site up to standards.
The pitches are large and well spread out, but they are under a heavy canopy of trees making it dark a cold due to the lack of sun and there were wasps everywhere, which made sitting outside difficult.
The toilet block was old and dated, meaning as it was in France there was an absence of toilet seats. Paint was peeling off everything and grass was overgrown. Even the Lake was disappointing, muddy beaches with a fair amount of detritus.
I was very glad to leave the site and area by the end of my thankfully short stay as it had become a depressing place that made me the think of a Soviet era Russian holiday camp.

Stopped here for one night whilst touring.
Reception was easy with a bit of broken French (on our side!) and good English (on theirs). It was also very reasonably priced.
The site gave a mixed impression, it certainly had a run down feel but I didn't mind that so much as the pitches were set nicely in the trees. For a stay longer than one night, this might get a bit gloomy though.
The thing we did have trouble with, which the site can't do anything about, was the wasps. We tried a couple of pitches, but they were all the same. It got to the point where it felt like we were being swarmed, so we had to retreat inside.
Wasps aside, it was a nice setting and gave an interesting walk along the lake to see the other run down buildings in the complex, but also nice woods and forest tracks.
The toilet blocks were ok and the shower was quite powerful.
I think the site was ok for a short stopover.
