 We chose this campsite because of a schoolboy delight in the town’s name.
The municipal is probably one of the best in which we have stayed.
You enter from a very large waiting area on the opposite side of the road through the barrier, once you have checked in and received a key.
The place is immaculately “kempt”; with a 6ft rectilinear leylandii type hedge around the total area of the campsite. The roadways between the pitches are very good and flat. The pitches themselves are all flat and of a reasonable size taking unit, awning and car, and very modern ehu points close by.
The sanitaires are in keeping with the rest of the site. I had thought them brand new but discovered they were 4 years old. They are fully tiled, not one of which was cracked and the no discolouration of the grouting between them. The separate male/female showers had good hot water and in the washing up area, with double sinks, the water was boiling.
Throughout the camp is free wifi for all your appliances, with a good strong signal.
Beside the site is the river Blaise and the “base de loisirs”. On the river were kyaking slalom courses and kayak polo area. A swimming platform with lowish diving boards were also there.
The base itself was beautiful park land with skate board parks, archery ranges, football pitches, fishing lakes etc etc.
Beside the campsite is the large municipal swimming pool and waterpark, and directly across the road are the tennis courts in the Parc des Sports
From the campsite it is a 20 minute walk for oldies along the banks into Condom centre ( 5-10 minutes by bike. )
Just up the road is the start of a Voie Verte which goes off into the countryside for 20km.
The only downside of this site is that all the pitches are beautiful grass, no hard standings. However there is an adjacent Camping car Aire which is free for the first 3 nights, but you can’t use the campsite’s facilities.
About 300 yards down the road at the second roundabout is a large Carrefour for food and fuel.
More importantly, at the first roundabout is the route to the Voie Verte and the Cooperative Vinicole for your wine “en vrac”.
Price for 2 people including ehu was €14 (April 2016)
