Easy access from Beachy Head Road onto the farm then through wide gate on right to grass field. Before pitching go to farm house where you will need to book-in and pay (Cash and credit cards only – no cheques). Levelling blocks are necessary although some have been provided by Mr Higgs, CL owner. The pitches themselves are unmarked but there is sufficient space to enable you to pitch a large caravan and awning without interfering on your neighbours pitch.
The field was closely mowed and in excellent condition during our stay. There is 16 amp electricity (With the ability to re-set if tripped). Water, Elsan Chemical disposal and waste bins are situated in the lower right hand corner. There is also a free Wi-Fi hotspot to the rear of the house. Unfortunately this does not extend to the pitches themselves. We found Mr and Mrs Higgs to be very pleasant and keen to help if required.
Very nice views of Beachy Head and beyond although you should anticipate winds as the CL is in an exposed position. Sheep were in the adjacent field and there are a number of walking opportunities including Beachy Head, Belle Tout lighthouse and Birling Gap. It is possible to walk into Eastbourne itself where there are the usual assortment of shops. There is also a bus stop at the entrance to the farm.
We took the opportunity to have an Italian dinner at Pomodoro E Mozzarella which we would most certainly recommend – you will need to reserve a table as the restaurant is extremely popular even during the week.
In conclusion we had a pleasant stay at Black Robin Farm CL and will no doubt return again in due course.

I have to start with the positives, the view is breathtaking! To overlook the coastline for miles was beautiful. The site is only a small field with EHU spaced along one edge & is very uneven, all the motor homes had to use levelling ramps. I was told there was a toilet & pointed towards the side of the farmhouse, it was dark though so I don't know how far it was. There is no shower or other amenities & unsuitable for children. I have two small dogs, the views are spectacular while dog walking.
The site has easy access from the road which is part of the bus tourist route however it is peaceful, surrounded by fields & did I mention the view! The drive up to the site is lovely, the road arched, shaded by trees, low stone walls & wide enough for two lanes. The bends are sharp & continuous but plenty wide enough for caravans & two lane flow. It's only a few minutes drive to the seafront. There are plenty of shops & I must say it's very clean.
Sadly that's all the good I can say. The water was a tap stuck out the ground in the corner of the site, the pressure is extremely low so filling containers was tedious. The CDP is an old sink sunken into the ground with a few rocks in it. There is a tap with a short hose above the sink & a fence panel behind that. There isn't any cover or lid over the sink. That's the CDP. Again the water pressure is low so it was a tedious rather unpleasant experience.
The owners seemed nice, pleasant but brief welcome on arrival. I was pointed (in the dark) to the field/site & left to it. I didn't encounter anyone for the duration of my 10day stay.
