Visited Sunnybrae during the hot weather in June. The site is quite small but just about adequate for 5 vans. The views diwn the Moray Firth are a bonus.
The owners are very welcoming and friendly. There is a small summerhouse with information booklets and a ‘library’ of paperbacks and Dvds. An added plus is the free wifi.
The site has quite a slope to it. However this is not a problem as there is plenty of wood to use to level the vans.
It is a basic site and I think children would find it quite small to play in. However, the sea and sand are not to far away.
The area itself has plenty to do with The Whisky Trail on the doorstep and a visit to Spey Bay Dolphin Centre is well worth a visit.

Friendly owners welcome and a good basic 5 pitch CL site ideal for access to cycle route into Buckie along National Route 1 (Moray Coast ride). Walking downhill to the small village of Findochty, nice coastal views but mixed reception in the local pub there, we found that the 'locals' were well looked after and everyone else had to wait or was ignored. The walk back up is probably easier for younger legs.
Nothing for kids to do on site, so mainly adults visiting.
Fir trees try their best to reduce winds but also make satellite reception a bit tricky on some pitches.
The site was dormant and taken over and rejuvenated by new owners around 3 or 4 years ago. They have made a number of improvements for example there is free wifi available for those who cannot do without it.
One final thing is the site does get some rain at times (who would have guessed) which makes the sloping central grassy area a bit tricky to navigate in a vehicle. You may find that during these damp periods, the site owner may prefer not to take bookings, they have plans to add some drainage at some point.

My wife and I stayed on sunnybrae caravan site for nearly two weeks and it was brilliant.
The area was fantastic. The owners were great, very helpful. The site is a little gem, we will return.
Whilst we were there we visited culloden, an visit is a must.
The general area is a must to see seals, dolphins and whales.

Went on a 4 week touring holiday & we started our first week at Sunnybraes because it was that good we decided to return for our last week.
Location and views are fantastic a lot of nice walks & beaches to visit.
The owners were so friendly & helpful & when we return to this area we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. 10/10 site
