Stayed for 3 nights, it in the grounds of a ruin mansion and a working farm. The pitches over look a golf course and has a restaurant on the course. We didn't use this but had a look at the menu, a good selection of food.
Very well set out and the little ' sheds' we're very nice and spotless.
Would stay again.
Thank you Barrie and Julie

Our first visit to this fairly new Caravan Club CL. The key features of this site is that each pitch has its own toilet & wash basin inside a shed which has been thoughtfully lined making it feel like a proper indoor toilet and was a pleasure to use. To the back of the shed was your very own pot wash sink. Each pitch is fully serviced and is probably the most spacious and thoughtfully shaped we have seen in that you could have your awning on grass or hard standing. There is a dog walking area but it is not enclosed and there are sheep & lambs in the adjoining fields so leads are a must. The site is so tranquil with views over a paddock with two horses and golf course beyond. The owners have worked really hard to get things just right and are on hand if needed. On the other side of the golf course is the Lakeside Inn where we had lunch a couple of times which was really nice and the menu looked impressive, it also seemed to be popular with the locals and golfers. The 9 hole golf course and fishing lake can be used by anyone and has an honesty box for the fees. The walk to Aspatria takes about 45 mins and has a SPAR & CoOp. The coat is an easy drive away.

We stayed here at the start of May, from booking to arrival it was how it should be hassle free the web site has the details phone and e-mail. Easy to find use their directions not your sat-nav’s.
Arrival is fantastic there is a welcome board telling you what pitch you are on, pitch itself is very spacious hard standing for van awning and car and you still have a grassy area, water tap and grey waste at side of pitch, EHU is at side of your own toilet and washing up shed very nice touch.
Once we were settled Barrie popped in to see us there is an information sheet very handy lot of useful information.
Everything is close by but you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere very peaceful and relaxing.
If you really want to see the hard work and effort that has gone in to this CL have a look on Google earth it just shows it as field on site, you can really appreciate this.

We have just returned from 2 nights at this site. There are only 5 pitches as this is a Caravan Club certified location, it is also adult only. The site was booked easily by email with the owner and any queries I had were answered promptly. The site was easy to find following the directions on the website as we were warned not to follow sat nav. The pitches are in a line and all face a field with horses, beyond that is a golf course, it's far enough away not to be a problem with stray golf balls. Behind is a field with sheep and lambs but I imagine they won't be there later in the year. Each pitch has it's own shed with toilet and washbasin inside and round the back is a sink and draining board for a pot wash area. There is water, waste water and EHU. Each pitch has a small grassy area big enough for a picnic table and chairs if you wanted. There's lots of maneuvering space and room for 2 cars on each pitch. I asked in advance if it was ok to have visitors and this was not a problem. There is a dog walk area around the ruins of an old country house that burnt down in 1918 (I think) and we saw no dog mess there so assume that like us everyone else cleaned up after their dog. The owners pop round in a golf buggy to collect payment and make sure everything is ok for you, Barrie and Judy were very friendly and happy to chat and gave us ideas of places to eat but we stayed in the caravan for our meals as we were only there 2 nights. There is tourist information in the greenhouse near the site entrance and also a small information sheet regarding shops etc in the shed beside each pitch. With great views all round and a spotless pitch we're already discussing when we will return to this site.
