My own private pitch from a choice of several locations from river view to riverside shown round by Suezi
Showers in a horsebox, proper loos, quiet and commune with nature. I saw kites & squirrels
Could have had a camp fire but it was too warm.
Friendly family running this site, nothing too much trouble

Truly fantastic site. Camping as it should be.
I escaped here for a few days R&R and I wasn't disappointed. Opting for the riverside pitches (great spot for bird watching) it is well worth the beautiful walk up the campsite to the toilets.
Pitches are generous with plenty of space in between. There is long grass left to grow encouraging wildflowers and other native fauna. (it is wildlife camping after all).
Lovely (free) hot shower in a converted horse box, clean toilets, and even some portaloos closer to the riverside pitches if you don't fancy the walk all the way up.
Worth every penny and is a true campsite for people who want to escape the manicured grass tent town holiday parks.
Highly recommend and I will be back!

Real trades description issues with this campsite: it is billed as 'Glamping' but in truth it is a MUCH more basic affair. One tap, one shower, two toilets (a fair walk away from the riverside camping), and one washing up sink.
Another pair of functional but bleak and reasonably dirty toilets in the upper field.
The landscape is undeniably pretty - but the site is really 'hickey' with a fair amount of junk lying about the edges. The grass is not cut but left wild - so at the end of summer it's really deep, thistle-y and rough for a large portion of the site.
Main issue: one shower. One shower would be enough if the description was 'basic' but the prices are set to 'glamp'. I counted 9 people in the queue on Monday morning. It is a nice clean (singular) shower, that much is true.
Next issue: washing up sink. One old metal sink (with some genuinely disgusting detritus on the drainer which looks like it's been there all year!) --- cold water push button tap. So plan to wash up in a bucket with your own hot water.
Health issue: drinking water tap attached to the donkey pen fence. E Coli anyone ? Note this is the only tap I could find on this several acre site.
Yes, if you are a couple and want a river view, it IS stunning down at the bankside. If you have a young family, think on whether the toilets / shower / washing up are a deal breaker - oh and @£12. 50 per adult and £7. 50 per child it is very expensive family camping.
