The campsite was the cleanest I think I've been to in 20 years of camping.
The owners were friendly and helpful. A selection of outdoor games are provided in the information hut, along with leaflets, phone numbers and maps.
The area is beautiful and in easy reach of different attractions (cheddar, Wookey hole, longleat, west somerset railway, Glastonbury etc), as well as plenty of supermarket options close by.
It's only just over an hour to south coast beaches, and north coast beaches are very close.
Currently, there are two showers and two toilets as well as one washing up area (all very clean) but a new block is being built which will help if the campsite is busy.
As it was, there were not many people there with us, so we never had to queue!
We liked it so much we extended our stay!

The campsite was amazing, facilities was very clean & kept clean, there was everything we needed, eg : games equipment, lots of information leaflets for surrounding areas also
There was a few nice little touches like herbs that are free for people to pick & other stuff that we could loan if needed,
Clarks villiage within easy reach (lots of shops) supermarkets 10 minute drive,
Most of all the owners Martin & Linda are really friendly & helpful & always on call if we needed anything,
We will definitely be returning & highly recommend this campsite. Tracey & Rob from Birmingham.

We have just returned from a lovely camping trip to Larks Rise. The site was well managed and organised, with flat pitches.
Upon arrival we were greeted by the site owner, who was very friendly and recommended local places that we can eat. There was a small information hut that contained leaflets of local attractions and even a telescope for some late night star gazing! The washblock was very clean and well kept.
The facilities were all unisex, so there were no urinals. There were two toilet cubicles and sinks, and two showers. There was also a small washing up room. Although we did not have problems with queuing, there is a possibility that you may have to queue to use the facilities during busy periods.
The site was looked after well and there were planters containing flowers, and even some freshly grown herbs available for those who wanted to do a bit of cooking! During the first night we could hear the traffic on a nearby main road quite loudly. However, this may have been because the wind was blowing in the direction of the site.
Overall, this was a lovely site and we really enjoyed our stay here.

We have a large tent and Larks Rise were able to accommodate us. The field is flat and with views of fields around was great for bird watching. RSPB Ham Wall is 2 miles down the road which was another reason for booking here.
The toilets and showers are immaculate and so is the washing up area where you can freeze your ice blocks if needed. We had EHU and a fridge but it helped to have cold blocks as well.
The owners are friendly and even got us two patio chairs for the week as we had some friends visit for the day. Lovely quiet site will definitely return.
