Lovely relaxed setting. Helpful owners. Walked to nearby station and enjoyed train trip to Barmouth. We were able to walk to the sea shore from the site.
Showers and toilets were open and clean. Just a shame there isn't a small shop somewhere in Llywngril.

Small site with lovely views over the bay if you pitch in the higher 'walled' area. Lower pitches are screened by the railway embankment, which is close (not too many trains). All pitches seem quite level.
Toilets/showers were clean, but one ladies, one gents (another one apparently under construction). No hot water for hand-washing! Washing-up facility was OK.
Staff were friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. Village has a small shop and friendly pub.
Quite expensive (nearly double the cost of the cheapest on this trip with similar facilities and views) and disappointed to find showers were another expense (coin operated)!

We were impressed by the beautiful views of the sea and mountains. The train track is very close but we liked seeing the trains go by. The owners were very nice and helpful. They went to a lot of trouble to make sure we had an electric hook up.
There isn't a beach as such just a rocky shoreline I found impossible to navigate. A real ankle breaker. Beautiful sea views though. For beach lovers take the short trip to fairbourne but go early to get a good spot! Dogs to left of beach.
I found the campsite short of some facilities. Only two loos. One male one female. Also only one shower (take 20ps. Lots). The worst thing was lack of hot water for hand washing. Not at all hygienic! The washing up area is good but the water was impossible to get hot. It came from a little boiler and the knob for heat adjustment had been removed. I never got anything warmer than tepid. Having said that the stay was very enjoyable. I am not sure it's the best site for kids but for older couples it's great. The pub is easy walking distance and serves good food. After a meal at the pub go for a walk over the bridge and along the river down to the shore. If it's dusk take a torch as the path is uneven. Watch for the bats. They are amazing and get very close.
Look for the house martins in the day abd owls and bats at night at the campsite. We loved all the knitted people and animals in the village.
We will go again but take a big bucket and good kettle for hot water.

We stopped at this site over the bank holiday weekend, lovely clean site, only 10 units allowed plus tents, facilities are one male and one female toilet. Separate mixed shower (coin operated)wash room with sink unit, T/dryer, Wash machine.
Small shop for basics, chemical disposal point. Electric points. The site is run by young couple who are always around the field if you need help. Located in a small village with a Pub 500M up the road serving nice pub grub, very dog friendly the site and the pub, The site is next to the coast railway line with a train about once an hour. The site is level and well drained, we will be visiting the site again. Good views toward Barmouth, LLyn Peninsula and Snowdonia.
