Arrived at the site and greeted by site bins and a bumpy, pot holed caravan area, next to the engineering repair and manufacturing area for the boat yard. Workers arrived before 8am so don't expect a lie in!

A good walk to toilets and showers. Clean but closed for cleaning between 8-9 am. Why?? Elson point is on the far side of the carpark.

I would not recommend the site for children or disabled people. Eg. Gravelled paths, crossing a road/ carpark to use the toilet facilities.

Expensive site and I would advise going elsewhere. It's a lovely area to visit but not this site.

Booked this site for a weekend stay to attend a family gathering. The site is well kept and clean, we had a warm welcome on arrival and everything explained to us, the showers toilets were very clean and best I have been to. Great location if you want to see the local area, mind you I'm very bias as I'm local girl but moved away. Will stay again and recommend. We did use post code in sat nav but it took us past

Second stay at this small site adjacent to the boat moorings at the marina-still in development-has been open for about 12 m. As it clearly states on the website toilets, showers and laundry facilities are some way from the pitches around the back of reception-torches may be needed in the middle of the night!.

One side of the caravan park has drainage on each pitch, the other doesn't-£1 per night difference in price-all have water and electricity and lights on the bollard. Rock pegs are needed for awnings, on the drainage pitches , the surface seems like gravel topped concrete. There is a cafe on site open to the public which closes at 5 pm during the week but is open later on Saturday evenings-lovely coffee and cake-we didn't try anything else but it all looked very appetising. Nantwich is about 3 miles away by car -lots of pubs, cafes etc and a marks and Spencer's food which has a great big car park.

The site itself is very peaceful -the staff very helpful if you need them otherwise you never see them anywhere near the caravan pitches-this is a boatyard first and foremost.

Future developments seem to include separate facilities for the caravan side of things. We would go back if we were in the area-watching the boats in the marina whiles away the afternoon although they can't be seen from the pitch, there are lots of benches you can sit on around the place.
