What a gem of a site this little CL is. Only stayed the one night on the way to Oxfordshire. However would gladly return and spend more time there. It is peaceful and secluded. We did not need ramps for our motorhome which is always a bonus.
It had EHU, freshwater, toilet and shower. We did not need to empty our toilet cassette which was good because we could not find the emptying point. I am sure there was one but we did not look.
My husband found that he could not get the shower to work but again we did not bother to ask about it because we have our own facilities in the motorhome.
It was a very good price at £12 per night. It is a working farm and there is a box for you to put the cash in when you arrive. The owners can be contacted by phone should you need them.
If I have a little gripe it is about the length of the grass and the nettles round the water tap. However that is just a minor niggle for me.
I think I would take a pair of gardening gloves and some secataurs next time to deal with the nettles.
Would definitely recommend this sight and we will use it again when on our travels.

Found this site through the CAMC book. It is no longer a CL site, so open to everyone, despite the signage still saying otherwise. My one issue is that now it is no longer a CL, campers do not feel the need to adhere to common sense rules - like keeping dogs under control. One such camper was not even aware his dog had fouled the grass let alone was stalking the free range chickens.
Pleasant site albeit access is tight. 13 hookups & toilet/shower facilities Inc @£12 p. N. Slight slope to the site but have seen a lot worse. Excellent for dog walking straight from site.

A nice site, surprised that nobody has reviewed it yet. It's in a good situation, near the Wye Valley and not far from the Black Mountains. About 5 miles from Chepstow which has a Tesco for supplies, and the castle, as well as being an interesting town. Tintern with its abbey is 4 miles away. There is a small shop (no alcohol) and a garage in Devauden.
Access is ok, a sharp right turn so take it carefully. There is a large sign at the entrance which all sites should have. The ground is rather undulating, you will need chocks on 1 side and under the jockey wheel.
There are doggy walks directly from the site, including a circular one, plus plenty more a short drive away in the woods, of which there are many, or down by the Wye at Brockweir. You may be lucky enough to see a seal in the river, we did!
The price of £12 per night, including a free shower in a wet room, is excellent. There is an honesty box for payment, you don't really see the owners but email communication is good.
