Where do I start! Firstly follow Google maps for directions. I'm a newbie female solo camper vanner. I fell across this fun filled adults only MH site randomly. I instantly loved the full ECO Solar ethics! ( Award winner 2024) Majority of what you see has been built from recycled items.

This site is totally different to any other off grid site, the sheer fact they put entertainment on a few nights a week is perfect for me. Grass pitches are pretty level throughout, there was about 20 large motorhomes and my ford camper that weekend but plenty of space.

I rang up before setting off and instantly felt at ease ( I hate speaking on phones to strangers) Richard was really friendly and fun. I was told "Turn left at the red carpet!" and follow the blue arrows.

On approaching the site I saw a sea of solar panels in the adjoining fields, I had to double glance as I thought at first site it was a lake 😂. And on entering the first thing I saw was their private clinic "Beauty bits Aesthetics" which is also a training clinic in the first carpark. 2 birds one stone eh 😉😁.

I loved that they hold karaoke/ disco a few times a week, reminded me of what nights out once was! Awesome! They often host themed parties too, check their FB group. The site is off grid, so make sure you take your own drinking water and charge up your batteries.

There is free water in the sani area for after washing out your portapotty and grey waste, but not suitable for drinking. I have walking issues so the locality of the portaloo dump and bins and toilet and bar is very important to me. ( Literally less than a minute walk to empty portaloo etc and a minutes walk to Tiki bar and toilet) I do have my own shower and toilet in my van, but you know what we're like for the number 2 rule 😂😂🤦. I nipped in the Tiki bar later to just say hi and wasn't going to stay long, however 4 hours later I was still there chatting like long lost friends 😂

This wonderful interesting couple made me feel totally at ease and very very welcome. They mentioned that they have lots of lone wolf female vanners and a whole host of returning customers that are equally as friendly, but not in your face so to speak. I booked for 2 nights and ended up staying 4 nights!

I arrived 11am Thurs and left about 3pm Monday ( I paid £60 for full stay for adults plus a pooch, I think that's for 2 people but double check). They have a late checkout policy too which is unheard of, as I hate the usual off by 11am and earlier on majority of sites and the usual payable extras etc dog, awnings pup tents etc are also free ( at time of writing this, always double check)

They have a conservatory games room with a pool table and arcade machine( both free to play) and a fan for warm days right next to the Tiki bar. The Tiki bar also has lots of outdoor seating, large outdoor TV, drums/ piano/ stage and a cocktail bar at the rear, and a fully stocked toilet at the front ( also eco so follow instructions inside.

This is an adults only, dog friendly site( check what breeds are allowed) BBQs allowed. WiFi reception was decent where I parked, however I think they have WIFI anyway. Retford is 5 mins drive. And a Nature reserve minutes away and 2 petrol stations within minutes for snacks etc.

Check their website for more information. It was obvious that most people inside the bar knew each other from being regular visitors, however I certainly didn't feel uncomfortable, infact I felt " at home" in this friendly non judgemental site.

The site is an ongoing project and loads of new things happening in the near future. Inside the bar is a full array of quirkiness, 2 tall fridges so you can chill your own beverages for free, making your night out a very cheap and fun evening. Both Rich and Nat are awesome singers and a great mix of karaoke singers were in over the weekend, sound system is brilliant! Best unexpected night I've had in years!

Tiki closes at 12am on the dot. So sleeping wasn't an issue, infact the quietest site I've been to in all my years camping (30+ years as a camper) And nice and chilled in the day too. I couldn't wait to return, so this last weekend Ive " been home" again for a 3 nighter, I'll be uploading a taster video on my YouTube channel ( Topless Barber 333) but will be returning soon to do a better one as it kept raining 🤦. And gives me another excuse to revisit Nathalie, Richard and Bolt.

Thankyou both for being simply you, don't ever change!. And the people I've met upto now for making Blue and me feel welcome. Lots of hugs J. K xx

10/10 for off grid site🖤💈
