 We really fancied a trip to the Netherlands and this site ticked the boxes for us due to central location and the advertised facilities on the site.
It was really easy to get to, relatively traffic free. First thing I can say, its a large site of mainly statics and motorhomes. Not many tents (i counted 5 during our visit).
Checked in at reception with no problems and made our way to our pitch which had electric, a shared water tap and enough space for our tent, awning and car. The toilets were of a good standard and kept clean as were the showers. The shop on site is very well stocked and there is a few food areas for takeaways. There are a couple of restaraunts in the main building and the food and beer is reasonably priced (£1 was buying 1. 25 Euros).
The kids play area was great with a large inflatable trampoline, football pitches and play equiopment. The pools were a good size however, the normal problems of getting a lounger or even a chair meant that at peak times you may have to lay your towel on the floor. The slides kept our two entertained and access to the fresh water lake and a large play area here mixed up our options a bit.
There is a KlimKong climbing area, not part of the site, that has 3 /6 / 9 & 12m climbing trails with zip lines that we used which was brilliant.
Also nearby and very reasonable as it is out of season is the largest indoor ski slope in Europe at Snowworld, Landgraaf, which was worth the 40 minute drive.
The only negative we could found (and it is a minor consideration) is that we were the ONLY British family on site however, some dutch children have a good grasp of English and even when there was a language barrier children always find ways to play and communicate. Our two made friends very quickly.
We had a great 2 week holiday.
