Really happy with this site. Last minute booking on a hot August bank holiday. We couldn't find any availability anywhere else and struggled to find anywhere that would accepted one night bookings on a bank hol.
We were in a group of 6 (3 couples in a tent each) and were pleased that we could pitch in a circle and weren't restricted to where we did that. To kids meant that we weren't woken early although the rooster tried his best.
The staff were really welcoming and laid back which is exactly what we were looking for. The bar and shop were very well priced, and the staff were always around if we needed anything. Fire pits were lovely and so was the breakfast (again, really reasonably priced for good ingredients).
Only negatives I would say are that the toilets are not pleasant (three porta-loos) as mentioned on the website. I think it would be nice if there were a couple more and maybe two for men and two for ladies? An outdoor shower might be nice if they don't want to offer any proper facilities.
Unfortunately I don't think I would stay more than one night for this reason. The toilets might not be so bad on a quieter and cooler weekend. Hopefully they'll prepare for this next year.
Only other complaint which the staff cannot do anything about is that we didn't realise until we all tried to sleep that the M40 is right above us. The noise was constant and very loud throughout the night although didn't keep us awake too much (the wine might have assisted with that).
Overall, we had a lovely time and rate the site well. Just a shame about the facilities (although the price per tent definitely reflects the lack of facilities).

Just returned from a Saturday night stay at Manor Farm. We were a party of Dads, kids and dogs and all had a brilliant time. Be warned, this is a very low key, basic, farm campsite so won't suit everybody, as facilities consist of a cold tap and a Portaloo (very clean). However it is set in the most glorious, Chiltern countryside, with the only noise being from the main road, which really didn't bother us at all. There are horses in the field next door and 2 friendly farm dogs who wander around.
We were met on arrival by the farmer Andrew, who was really friendly, laid back and welcoming and let us camp wherever we wanted and as we were the only ones there at the time meant we had the choice (one other couple arrived later). He has just started offering camping on the farm, so word hasn't got out yet, which meant we practically had the place to ourselves.
There is one big paddock field behind the farmhouse but there are also other fields available that can also be used and as he is going to limit numbers, it should never get crowded. The price was a simple £7 per person and if you want a campfire ( why wouldn't you ! ) for £10 he will bring you a huge barrow load of logs with firelightres and kindling and includes the use of one of the metal firepits.
The Red Lion pub next door is currently closed unfortunately, but there are plenty of pubs around in walkable distance. We walked up through the lovely woods of Naphill common for a drink in the Black Lion pub in Naphill, which has a large beer garden. Only took about 40 mins and downhill on the way back. We didn't make it to The Wheel pub a little further on but that's supposed to be really nice also.
I would thoroughly recommend this campsite to anyone who likes peaceful, simple camping without the mod-cons. Absolutely my sort of campsite! Beautiful countryside, relaxed atmosphere, campfire friendly etc. Perfect for a max of 1 or 2 nights due to lack of showers and washing facilities. Andrew couldn't have been more hospitable, so a big thank you to you. We will definitely be returning.
