Welcomed with a warm smile and the offer of any help we might want.
The site was very neatly maintained and has wonderful views.
We were sorry we were only staying overnight this time.

A nice CL, but seriously let down by the track up to it from the A5, which is quite steep and rutted. It's fine with care, but I would have thought that as the owners also run a B&B business that they should address this problem.
The field is high above the A5 with good views to the south, but to get any views of Snowdonia (weather permitting), then you either have to be very tall to see over the wall or go up to another site which has (semi?) permanently situated caravans which folk must use for weekends or holidays. This has much better views.
Currently £14 per night, a bit expensive as there are no loos or showers. The grass is kept short with no bits. It's a good touring centre, about 8 miles from Betws y Coed, 25 miles or so from both the north and west coats, 16 miles from Bala. There is a good walk just up the road to a small lake.
The nearest sizeable shop is the Co-op in Llanwrst, 12 miles away, but the village shops in Pentrefoelas (2 miles north) and Cerrigydrudion (3 miles south) sell most things, including alcohol. There is a garage right next door, but this only sells fuel.
It's dog friendly, no lead rules; our Harry loved running around the small wood and around the farm buildings.
We would use it again if in the area and it would be very suitable as a stopover.
